Per doctors order I had to take this stuff to prep for a medical procedure that I was having where I had to clean out.I purchased this from Amazon and drank 10oz of it at twelve noon the day before my procedure. The taste wantn't bad. It was a little sour like eating a lemon 🍋. But no where as bad as the other stuff that I have used before. I did like the mixed berry taste.It started working a couple hours later and As per the doctor I drank lots of water and clear liquids after drinking it so that it wouldn't leave a chalky residue. By the time I went to bed that night I was all cleaned out.I will be using this stuff for now on anytime that I have to prep myself for a medical procedure. The doctor told me that I did a very good job at preping for the procedure. I owe it all to this stuff.

Pros: product does the job gently and effectively. Label states free of several common allergens. Natural formula. Taste isn't bad.Cons: leaves a white residue in colon, making it unsuitable for endoscopy procedures.I have a zillion food allergies and was concerned about the generic clear mag. sulfate prep liquid ingredients. I loved that this far more natural product specifically said it was free of soy, gluten, dairy, etc. Even though it is an opaque white liquid, my doctor approved it for my colonoscopy prep. It worked very well, and the affects were not violent, unlike the standard prep.Everything seemed to go perfectly, but unfortunately, during the procedure the doctor found an excess of white residue from this product lining my colon, which caused him to be unable to get a clear view. Now I have to repeat the whole thing with a different prep, somehow.I really wish this product had worked out, because it was otherwise pretty ideal. If only it was clear...

This is a good product. For one thing, it's not in pill form, so if you have problems with taking pills, this will deliver all the goods in a liquid form. The taste isn't super fabulous, but it's definitely good.I mainly take this product because of my painful charley horses that always come on in the middle of the night. When I take this product regularly within a short time the charley horses all but stop! Magnesium is actually also very good for your heart, joints, and bowels. If it affects your bowels too much, just take a teaspoon full instead of a tablespoon...or alternate nights. But taken on a daily basis it has really alleviated my painful charley horses! Sometimes I forget for a few days, but the cramping at night reminds me to not be so forgetful about taking it.

This is the easiest way to supplement magnesium to your diet. Being a flavored liquid it's absorbed quickly .Much easier than to swallow a pill.

I always transfer liquids that come in plastic (and this is a VERY thick plastic bottle) into glass to prevent further leaching of plastic into my edibles/drinkables. There was over an inch of THICK liquid stuck to the bottom of the plastic bottle, so thick it is like glue. And yes, I shook it vigorously prior to transferring into the glass bottle.My concern is: if one tablespoon of this is supposed to contain a certain amount of the supplement, obviously that seems impossible if the liquid is not fully mixed. And since it requires refrigeration, when it is cold it will basically be impossible to measure correctly because there will be a lot of the liquid which is stuck on the bottom like a solid. I will write to the company since with supplements, it is important to take an accurate amount for the health. Maybe they can figure out a solution which will make the measurable amount guarantee the correct dosage.I have written to the company three times and had no response. Although they claim the magnesium is water soluble and say “no mixing necessary”, that is not my experience at all. Thus I am discontinuing use of it. When we take supplements, we need to know how much we are taking. It is not helpful to get triple the dosage or a fraction of the dosage and a product which does not dissolve and mix properly cannot provide that certainty. Extremely disappointing.

I have absorption issues with many vitamins. No magnesium supplements have worked. My dr recommend this product. It worked quickly and was easily absorbed. Thankfully at least one is manageable without IV infusions! Oh and it tastes good. Like a chalky berry juice.

I have been purchasing this magnesium citrate for months, recommended by my physician for use as a laxative and it certainly does work well! However, with my last two purchases from Amazon I had i issues with the bottles as the product had separated and settled at the bottom of the bottle. What was left was a very thin, yellowish liquid that in no way resembled the original product. (Amazon was great, as always, with their concern and refund, but I am now going to order directly from Blue Bonnet and no longer from Amazon.) My concern is that if people are ordering for the first time they may not realize that most of the citrate is hardened and at the bottom of the bottle!
