Good value and a good fountain pen
I have a small collection of fountain pens that each cost many times more than this item, but this is the pen I reach for when writing a quick note. The ink flows smoothly and consistently, and it's fun and easy to write with!

Not a "cheap" pen
These pens are wonderful. They are well made and perform very well. They tend to be on the "wet" side, a feature I like, and write very well. I have had them sit for days, then picked one up and it writes immediately, right from the start, no hesitations or skipping. I have a number of more expensive pens, Mont Blancs, Pelikans, Aurora, Rotring, Schaeffer, etc. But these Pilots are my go to pens for everyday writing and especially out of the house. I could bear leaving one of these behind in a restaurant by mistake whereas a Mont Blanc or Pelikan would be a catastrophe. Don't think of these pens as "cheap" by any means. They are not especially fancy or something to show off, but they are dependable and great to write with. Highly recommend!

Great Fountain Pen
Pilot produces fantastic pens. This one is definitely not an exception to that tradition. When you write, the pen just glides smoothly. The blue color of the ink is so vibrant. I like that the ink dries quickly. The lines appear bolder compared to the Zebra fountain pen. If you are using it on a thin paper, the ink imprint will be noticeable on the back page. I found my favorite fountain pen. The only con is the price. It fetches a higher price compared to its competitor but you can never go wrong with it.

Cursive writers will love these.
These pens are a joy to write cursive with. I can now travel on business with fountain pens easily. Co-workers always comment on them. They make your writing appear elegant too. They glide effortlessly on the paper, don't leak and dry quickly,

Reliable and smooth
I've bought MANY of these pens. The ink is smooth, never stutters, and the color is rich (all colors, but I use blue the most). The price is reasonable and I find that they last a long time. I have two complaints: 1. the cap often cracks (I fix this with a bit of tape), a minor annoyance, and 2. The lower edge of the barrel has a sharp transition/edge. If my hand gets that low on the barrel, it is uncomfortable. I recently tried a couple of other brands and found the varsity to stop be superior in color, reliability, and smoothness. See photo for color comparison.

My Favorite Go-To Pen Everyday for 5 Years
Everyday, I write personal notes, journal entries, thoughts, and reminders by hand which an essential part of how I work through the happenings of my life and look back to see my progress or plan for my future. This pen has been my constant companion throughout this process and I cannot find a replacement that feels as good, works as well, or saves me money like this product. Because I live a fast paced life always moving from one thing to the next, I appreciate that this fountain pen is durable, easy to use, comfortable, and ultimately disposible. The smooth flow of ink means you'll never have to redo a faded phrase or scratch the page w a dry tip. The richness of the blue ink gives your words a vibrancy that pops, and the self contained, simple, but tough packaging means no mess or fuss.

Disposable Fountain Pens are a Thing?
I don't know where I heard about these. It seemed an absurd oxymoron. But they got good reviews, so I gave them a shot. They're not particularly attractive, but they're disposable (nib looks really nice IMO, though). I think the grip is basically perfect. I'm sure YMWV. But they've got a surprisingly good feel when using, and tremendous ink flow.Something a little fancy for everyday use? I don't know how these can be beat.
