Nearly perfect replacement
Fits exactly on my hansgrohe vertical bar which is 7/8" diameter. The shower head holder is sturdy, not quite as thick on the front opening as the original, but just as thick as the weak back portion that broke. Installation was very easy IF you have read other comments. The end caps on the vertical bar wiggle off. The lower holder is removed from the wall by unscrewing a long screw with a large head Phillip's screwdriver. The top holder can be left in place because the vertical bar slides down and out. Now replace the part and reinstall, carefully tightening the screw into the wall - don't over tighten it. You do not know what the wall behind the shower tile is made of. Cosmetically, this replacement part has a chrome knob instead of gold, and has a hansgrohe brand emblem visible that I didn't need, but it is functional and seems sturdy enough to last. Very happy - especially since I have used a cheap suction holder for months since I could not find the replacement part. The device holds my very heavy shower head securely.

Good product, easy to use
This saved us because we love our showerhead but the holder broke. So happy this was available. Easy to install and works perfectly!

Good at its intended use - holding the shower nozzle
This is a replacement wallbar slider for the original that came with the unit. That on was broken by our housekeepers; they must have yanked on the shower unit thinking it would snap out of the holder, as would, for example, a microphone stand holder. Unfortunately , the shower unit must be lifted out of the wallbar. The new unit was easy to replace, though lacking in installation directions. I subtract one star for that and for the transparent part of the holder itself; it is longer than the part it is replacing, meaning that we must be more careful with it in everyday use, as it's a bit more difficult to remove and replace the shower unit. I'm not disappointed in this new part; I merely find it slightly less useful than the original part.

Just like the original - because it IS.
This piece was an exact replacement for the original Hansgrohe shower, wand holder. I believe it fits perfectly because it is made by the Hansgrohe company. After sliding off the decorative cover, one needs a strong and steady hand with a screwdriver (power driver recommended) to undo the lower screw that attaches the carrying bar to the wall, but after that, the new holder just slips on. I was able to undo the damage of my careless houseguest in under 20 minutes.. this is the cheapest price I could find anywhere for an exact replacement. That made me very happy.

Easy Install, Angle Adjusts
This was the original fixture so 20 years of use has taken it's toll. We tried to fit a larger hand-held shower head, (Delta, I think), and it broke the holder in the slider. I removed the entire bar and dug out the old plastic anchors. Since I wanted this to be very sturdy and last awhile I, carefully and slowly, drilled out the holes a bit from a 1/4" to about 3/8" and inserted new, and larger anchors. The last 1/2" took a few taps with a rubber mallet. After that it was just a matter of screwing in the two anchor screws with the new slider installed on the bar, tape the threads on the incoming water source on the wall and tighten everything down. Once question through all this: Will the angle of the hand-held holder adjust? It wasn't possible to get enough torque with the slider off the bar so I couldn't tell until I had it all together. Once the slider was on the bar and the bar securely attached to the wall, the clear plastic holder part moved to change angles with a strong twist. It clicks with every angle change. I suspect that will get easier with time and use.I love Hansgrohe products. Well made and made to last. I also just replaced the 4-way cartridge. Also a fairly easy project.

Perfect replacement part
The original part broke after 14 years of use. Taking the slider bar apart was child's play: just pop off the plastic end caps, remove two Philips-head screws, and pull it apart. The replacement part fit perfectly. It took less than five minutes to install. It's too bad it had to be plastic, but I guess brass is too expensive (and maybe too heavy to stay in place on the slider). And steel or aluminum would corrode quickly. Anyway, it's a perfect solution.

Better than the original part
When the shower head slider started cracking on my HansGrohe shower bar, I found this replacement here on Amazon. And on youtube I found the HansGrohe instructional video "Tech Tips - How to replace a wallbar slider". The video showed it was easily done by removing the top cap cover and screw, and just swapping out the sliders. Instructions were also available on line, but the video is more instructive. The new slider has a more durable and much more thick clear plastic part to hold the hand held shower head, and yes, it does rotate through different angles (much easier to rotate after it is installed on the bar!) It actually works better than the original slider (better angles available), and the rotating chrome colored knob that holds the slider in place on the bar also works better.5 minute installation after watching the video but if you are using a different brand bar system, it may not be as easy.

Replaced very similar holder, but why purple?
I don’t know why this is purple? Not stated in description that the plastic is purple (light lavender). However it works as intended. Will probably replace for aesthetic reasons before selling the house in a few years though. But can get a $10 generic for that.Installation instructions easy to follow for average homeowner.
