Moominvalley Complete Series 1 [DVD]

I am thankful for the Moomin movies as it takes my mind off of stress. It is comical. Its a great stress reliver.

a great first season and a beginning to the absolutely worthy successor to the greatest tv show that humanity has ever laid eyes upon, Tove Jannson herself would be proud of this extremely well concocted adaptation of the greatest story ever told. Moominvalley handles the characters of the Moomin mythos with delicate care near perfection. the soundtrack is also fine.

I brought this for my kids, who are big Moomin fans. The animation is very high quality and stories are a joy for the family to watch. Also the voice actors are a great choice. A great family show to watch.

This was a present for the wife who likes momins keeps her quite great idea for anybody that loves momins

Brilliant! Beautiful! Much loved characters brought to life in fabulous technicolour. Can't wait for the next series. FANTASTIC

Brilliant heart warming stories of the Moomin Family! With beautiful music. Very calming to watch.

Its visually very nice but it lacks the charm of the original books and the two previous Moomin adaptations I am familiar with (fuzzy felt and the Japanese one), I got the idea the people behind it hadn't read or loved the original books and saw it simply as a product to cash in on.The CGI animation is lovely, however the characters never quite seem to come to life. I think what lets it down is a bad script and a poor choice of voice actors plus bland music. On saying that I did think there was some improvement towards the last episodes.
