All Mountain Style AMS High Impact Frame Guard Extra Semi-transparent – Protects your bike from scratches and dings

I got this for my Trek X Cal 9 HT mountain bike.First thing I noticed when I opened the package that only the large sticker came with the AMS logo on and all the others where blank, I did expect more than just one with the logo but this was purely for Asthetics. You can clearly see the honeycomb pattern, which I really like, looks sort of futuristic.When I peeled one of the stickers off I could clearly see that it is made of high quality and durable material but not too think to look out of place when on my bike.Instructions on the packaging where simple but you can also log onto the Web site if you're not confident.I struggled to prioritise where I was going to place the stickers as they weren't all the best shape for my frame but I just went for under the down tube and the chain stay to stop chain slap (there is a specific one that I may upgrade to in the future)Only thing I'm not sure on at the moment is it looks like one side of the large sticker isn't sticking properly and I'm sure after a few rides and times through the wash, it will come off. If this happens then I'll be asking for my money back as I ride a lot.All in all, first impressions are good, I should have ordered the turquoise colour but maybe next time.

Very good quality product. A little expensive for what you get but has obviously been well designed and manufactured to stay adhered to bike paintwork in all conditions. Nice honeycomb texture makes the film thick enough to provide decent protection from stones and other solid debris hitting your bike frame. Well worth getting properly prepared to decide where to position each sticker and stick them on accurately. If you get one on in wrong place getting it off again would probably make the sticker un usable. Decided to get the translucent version and looks really cool and subtle on my Specialized Rockhopper. Really happy with the quality and the look.

I ordered this frame protection kit to protect my new canyon strive and to say I’m happy with the kit is an understatement. The protective patches have saved my bike from so many stone chips, frame fun and scratches from riding. The colour is very bright and it is easy to apply just make sure the frame is warm as otherwise the stickers will not stick properly. Other than this I’m very happy with the product and will definitely buy again when the current ones become worn.

This item is thick and I can see it protecting the frame very well, it is very adhesive so much so when I miss aligned a piece and removed it, it took off the paint 😭 it is not as clear as I would be liked but cost of protection due to thickness. Only real con is no real direction on how or where to apply, not truly transparent, will only fit certain areas on bike depending on bike design and removed paint work when trying to reposition (to the point it will need a reps ray) expensive to.

A bit disappointed with these considering how much they cost. I followed the instructions but I still managed to get some bubbles on the bigger pieces. I got the clear ones thinking they would be transparent but they’re quite visible on the bike and just don’t look that great I don’t think. Also smaller pieces don’t seem to wrap around frame that well so dirt gets under the edges and looks rubbish. Might try attacking with the hairdryer later to see if that helps otherwise they’re coming off.

Unlike other frame protection films etc this stuff due to its honeycomb design actually feels very strong no doubt it'll absorb rock impacts etc & it sticks quite easily even on rounded corners, and even sticks again if removed without falling apart & becoming unusable. (atleast, within a few minutes of placement in error & adjusting.)My only complaint would be the amount of branding included on the stickers, it was very hard to place it without looking overkill or having AWS's logo covering other logos on my new bike.

Very expensive for what you get. Awful to apply. You need a very steady hand and a lot of time to get this on perfectly. In the end I ended up peeking this off and binning it. The Finnish was awful - couldn’t see the design of the frame. Fairly low tac to which isn’t good for extreme MTB. Ended up going for a pack from a wiggle which provides full frame protection for the same price!

I adapted this stuff as I realised when I bought it it's not really made for hardtail Mtb its for full suspension , but still managed to use on parts of my frame and it's pretty tough stuff, however yes you should wipe your frame down with isopropyl.
