Oceanstar 2-Tier Bamboo Shoe Rack, Brown, SR1309

I love this shoe rack so much! I bought it for my dorm in college, and it is one of the best investments I have ever made! The material of the wood itself is pretty sturdy and holds up well. The instructions were very easy to follow and ended building this in less than 10 minutes. It is also small enough to fit into corners while still having a large amount of storage space to work with!!

You reviewer people almost scared me off this delightful little 20-buck rack, so tortuous were your descriptions of putting the darn thing together. Split wood! Screws that don't fit! No hardware! Perhaps the manufacturers heard you all and adjusted their tools. Perhaps a couple of those units were just one-offs, slapped together in the wrong factory on an off day. Perhaps some of you were drunk. But all I can say is that the box that arrived at my house yesterday contained four sturdy pieces of bamboo, plus a sweet little packet of brass screws that fit neatly into the pre-drilled holes on both shelves and sides. Also in the bag: A darling little hex wrench with which to drill those screws in. I put it together in five minutes, no lie. It fits our entry way like an interior designer came over and put it there.So, maybe if you're super reckless with the screwing part you might split some wood. I could see that happening, sure. But you'd really have to be going for it. Like deliberately not matching the holes up, or not paying attention to whether the screws are going in at an angle. Or you'd have to be drunk. But I suspect if that were the case you'd be a wreck trying to assemble Ikea or Home Reserve or Pottery Barn or any of the other seemingly hundreds of furniture items I've put together since we upsized a month ago from apartment to house. Because I don't think any furniture item could be easier to assemble than this one. I even drank a beer while I did it, and it went just fine. Then I went and order another one for my closet.

This is just the right size for my use: 21" long. It's very sturdy and holds 3 pairs of boots and 3 to 4 pairs of shoes on each rack. It's very nice looking for the entryway. The only problem I had was installing the screws with the allen wrench. One of the pre-drilled holes wasn't drilled all the way through. Very frustrating! I had to give it to a friend with a drill to get this together. Otherwise, it would have deserved 5 stars.

This is the second time ordering this product. Very sturdy, easy to stack. The price makes this a wonderful purchase. I use these stacked in my sewing room to hold Sterlite storage containers with sewing supplies. Would also make good book shelves.

The assembly was easy and intuitive, although instructions are provided the rational design makes them optional. Once assembled it is sturdy and a second rack can be added using the holes and provided dowels. Mine is in a closet, but it is attractive enough to be visible.

This beautiful bamboo shoe rack is an exact fit for our space and makes the area look much neater. It’s made so another one of the same racks could be stacked on top using well made little pegs that came with the rack. That would give you double the space for shoes.
