Great pigeon deterrent!
Mounted on top of your AC unit this ‘spider’ rotates when AC is running - helps to keep pigeons away!!

WORTHLESS!
This product is ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS! Even in 20 knots of wind, it just stands there. Birds completely ignore it and continue to crap all around it.

Keeps ducks off of dock
We duct taped the product into low ceramic bowls, and filled with rocks, so they would be low to the dock. Our regular dock sitting ducks hide them with suspicion and have not been on the dock since. it is early days now, we will see how they were going forward. Our idea with the ceramic bowls was so we could move them around the dock as needed. Other items we have used, such as owl statues, etc.. Have not worked. In fact, the ducks climb to the dock and sleep right next to them. So far we are pleased, and the “spiders” look interesting on the dock.

Nothing fancy but the area it covers is clean.
I have two 8 footers. I’ve had them for a couple years I use them with sand bag type attachment. I use them on 18 ft runabout. They do detract sea gulls from landing and crapping on boat. However, the two feet that it doesn’t cover you guessed it.The fingers rotate on a post but they do not spin in the wind. Basically just dangle. They are expensive for what they are but they work. So hey, it’s much better then the alternative of cleaning nasty seagull crap. My opinion. It has to cover your entire space or your going to have a mess

See gulls no more!
This clever device has kept seagulls off the top of our boat for over 10 years. This is our third one because one ended up in the drink when we forgot to take it off the roof when heading out and the other one eventually wore down - broken tines. These work like crazy, not a single bird mess to clean up if you remember to put it up there when mooring (and don't forget to take it down as you are motoring away!)Great value.

I've had to repair them already
I bought 3 to guard my spa which is attached to my pool. These are extremely expensive as are most pest repellants. I spent $150ish on the three and found that they want to sell me a base to keep them from falling over; or I can drill holes in the lovely porcelain tiles or buy their very expensive stands which are large and not pretty. The wind lands them in my pool often enough, but they seem to discourage the pigeons from landing and pooping in my pool. Mind you, 2 of the 3 broke when they fell into the water... it's water! I had to glue them back together. I had to take them apart to do it. Once apart, they are a great challenge to get back together. I finally glued each wire into it's lovely slot and screwed on the top. Wha-la! Fixed! I also attached them to my lovely porcelain tiles with my hot glue gun. My state has mighty windstorms, not gentle ones. Also, I think the pigeons may have learned how to dunk them. They're not too bright, but they are super determined! I'd have sent them back except they do seem to be the only thing I've found that repels very large thirsty pigeons. (We also put a birdbath in the front yard to distract them from the pool).

No geese on dock!
We put two 4' Bird-B-Gone "spider" type bird repellents on our boat dock. We've tried EVERYTHING to keep geese off our dock. For years! After chasing the geese off the dock, hosing the goose doo-doo off, my husband had them installed in minutes. 2 weeks later, we haven't had ANY geese on the dock even though they're all over the yard and neighbor's dock. Now our neighbor is going to place an order and my husband will install them for her. Satisfied customer!

Lost half its "arms"!
On the surface this seems to be a good idea. I've tried many ways to keep the seagulls off my sailboat. Electronis "bird repellers", scarey owl and hawk decoys, and reflective objects don't work. Strings, arranged a few inches above a surface seem to disseade the gulls from landing but are a nucence to rig and un-rig each boat use. These "spyders" should and seem to act like strings and are easier to deploy and put away. No gulls have landed on the areas covered by the spyders.Mounting them is a problem. There are not enough options offered and you will have to work out a way that keeps the upright, free of entanglement and on the boat in swells and storms without permanent, obstructice, mounting brackets.Unfortunatly this eight foot model has lost, in its first six weeks, half of its arms. They have broken off a quarter inch from the base. The four foot one, just bought, does not "turn in the wind" as promised. The actual construction needs improvement. When contacted by their site e-mail they called back the next day. The called knew only that I had e-mailed, but had no idea what I had said. After i described the problem he first said six weeks was beyond their "trial period" and thus no replacement, but offered another at his "basre price". He suggested using "crazy glue to re-attach the stainless steel wires to the plastic base"; he did not know it was held together with a nut.As I said, great idea but not well engineered. The same idea could be offered in strips for boat edges but is not.
