Makes my bench more versatile
I expected something longer but they were very affordable and do the job

Lightweight and very useful
I enjoy the longer length though for most task it really isn't necessary. Spring loaded friction pin works well. Being light and easy grab is nice plus. I like them, straight up good choice.

Aluminum Bench Dogs - work great!
Love these bench dogs! Great price. I rated the product 4 because I only received 2 of the 4 dogs. When I discussed the issue with Amazon with my intention to return them, I was told not to bother and that they would provide a fullrefund, which they did. Love the dogs, love dealing with Amazon. I have a total of 6 of these aluminum dogs. I wouldpurchase them again - although probably from a different source through Amazon.

Chinazon: HUGE waste of TIME & MONEY
Appears to be ANOTHER Chinese storefront on Amazon that erroneously sent spring clamps INSTEAD of dog clamps Powertec's shipping mistake became my cost and responsibility to fix.

I'm mixed
I'm new to using bench dogs so limited in my experience. Although these dogs are functional I will be looking for other options. These dogs are quite loose in the holes and its the spring tension that holds them in place but the problem is that because they are so sloppy in the holes you have to be careful how you position them or your work won't be quite square. They are also a little on the short side because the spring isn't quite long enough to put tension on the full length of the pin.

Just isn't good as bench dogs
I drilled a hole that is exactly the size of the post. Due to the wire, it is near impossible to make adjustment out pull it back out. I enlarged the hole by 1/32, that is enough give to cause a flex over a 6" from vice to dog which cause the piece being clamp to pop out. I actually need to clamp down on it in order to keep it in place. The longer post version of these works much better.
