It WORKS
I used Fritz Aquatics FritzZyme 9 Nitrifying Bacteria and it worked greathere's the story I have a J BJ 29livestock one clown fish, one fire fish, one blue green chroma's, and a very small flame back and Angel 1ina fire shrimp blue hermit crab and some snailsthe tank has been extremely peaceful no fighting whatsoever. Then one day the flame back became a problem he's only 1 inch and after about six months. He decided every rock in the aquarium was his. Started aggressively protecting it would pick the shrimp up and drag him off the rocks. He had to go I had a 10 gallon set up with a pair of clown fish I put a divider in flame Angel on one side clown fish on the other.Had to set up a tank fast I looked on Facebook marketplace and found a 30 gallon not far from the house for $10 still had stickers on itSet it up with what I had laying around the house a very old hang on back filterand to sponge bubble filters. Made 20 gallons of saltwater. Filled the tankand ordered Fritz nine on Amazon. It arrived at 9 o'clock AM the next day32 ounce bottle. I I poured it in let it circulate for about an hour .Put the fish in some old salt buckets . And dumped the 10 gallon tank into the 30 gallon tanksand and to large conch shells acclimated the fish and dumped him input some old Constantine tiles from a bathroom rebuild to make some hiding places .And everything has been living happily ever afterThis stuff is great not only for its intended use of starting a new tank or boosting the bacterial load .But it's ability to be used in an emergency situation is amazing .It literally saved a a couple of hundred dollars worth of fish .Thanks Fritz

Fritzzyme saved my reef :-)
This definitely works. Fritzzyme saved me during a horrible situation.. I've been stalling upgrading my filtration in my reef tank from an old canister filter to sump (price... yikes) and after putting off the monthly cleaning of debris from the canister filter and putting off water changes for 6 months my system began to cascade into a nosedive. Everything in the tank was releasing a slime and fish started to die.. fish I've had for over 6 years - longer than I've had my dog. I did water changes, but I think the bacteria in the live rock had died or was dying, nothing was stopping it. I ordered this stuff with 1 day shipping and arrived the next morning.I disconnected the canister and just ran the power heads full blast to really move the water and dosed per directions. By that evening the water was clearing up and the smell of death was dissipating from the tank. In 48 hours the polyps began to open and with 2 more water changes nitrates were close to zero. Needless to say, I did get a sump installed by the end of the week and the old Aquatop was on craigslist.I dosed with the Fritzzyme once a week for the next 3 weeks to start up the sump - hoping to "seed" the deep sand bed in the sump even though I used live sand and established live rock rubble. It's been just over a month and water quality is perfect. I should say I also used NO3:PO4-X as well to give the new bacteria the carbon it needs to establish just in case anyone reading this is having the same nightmare. I swore if the tank went down I was done with the whole saltwater thing, praying that it would reverse course. I would credit Fritzzyme for saving my tank.FYI... I didn't read the dosage before I purchased, so I got lucky when I ordered the gallon size. The dosage for established tanks (re-establishing beneficial bacteria and adding new livestock) is 2oz per 5 gallons, so you go through a lot. I almost gave 4 stars because I can't see why it can't be more concentrated to be smaller doses... but after my near-miss and comeback thanks to Fritzzyme (and I'm not versed in the concentrating of bacteria) they deserve 5 stars. Just be sure you order enough.

This stuff actually works.
Surprisingly this stuff actually worked for me. Started my tank with old dead dry rock and Fiji pink “live” sand. Nothing from any established tank, no fish, no coral, about as dry start as it gets. Dumped in this bottle and dosed ammonia up to 2ppm. Within a couple days ammonia was dropping so I dosed a bit more. Tank was clearing ammonia in about a week. Did a big water change to drop nitrites and trates and added a couple hermits. By week 2 the tank was already at 0 nitrites and still clearing ammonia so it’s not just suspended bacteria in the water column. Also changed filter floss during this time and that had no effect on bacteria colony.Be sure to read up and understand what you are doing. Even with this stuff I always recommend a fish less cycle!

It Stinks but It Worked After a Couple of Days
Update: So the Fritzzyme is kicking butt when it comes to Ammonia and Nitrites. Ammonia never going above .25 ppm (which is something I never accomplished before this), and Nitrite is always zero. Nitrate, however, is the new issue. Seems like the bacteria gets ammonia to Nitrate and then quits. My Nitrate levels are getting to 100ppm, causing me to do water changes to get it back down. Contemplating Red Sea Nitrate Remover bio to finish the job.So my review was originally going to be a 2 or 3 star, but given some time the Fritzzyme seems to have finally kicked in. But, upon adding the liquid I decided to do triple recommended dose; it says you can do 10x, as my small aquarium was struggling with Ammonia, constantly reporting 4ppm. I was using another bio liquid that didn't seem to be cutting it. I did a 33% water swap and added the Fritzzyme. The first thing that sucked is I think the bacteria seemed to throw off the algae in my Blue Blubber Jellyfish, and he died within 24 hours -- it was sudden and swift -- of adding the liquid. I tested the water about 24 - 30 hours later and ammonia was still at 4 ppm. I was bumming on this but then tested 48 hours after the first test and the ammonia is down to about .5 to 1 ppm. I know it's not exactly zero, but definitely has to be from the Fritzzyme kicking in. So definitely working.
