Range of motion not great, but typical for price range
Like a lot of these drawing figures, the range of motion is not great- trying to get the body at certain angles, the joints resist and slowly pull back to where they want to be.But it's typical of any wooden drawing figure of this style. For the price range, I think this is satisfactory and pretty typical product of its kind.

Limited usability
If you are buying this as a visual for human proportions and joint connections, don't. You will be better off getting a human anatomy book for artists. This us only useful to get a general image of positions.

I'm very impressed with the craftsmanship
My nephew is starting to expand his drawing and asked for a Drawing Manikin for Christmas.I've priced these at local craft stores and for the smaller sizes(7-8") they wanted the same price of this 12" manikin.When we received the manikin, the packaging was worrisome, but the manikin was in perfect condition. Bends easily but not TOO easily. Holds in the position you need very well and does exactly what it's supposed to. The wood is sanded down really nice so you don't worry about splinters, joints are constructed very well also.I'm very impressed with the craftsmanship of the manikin by US Art Supply.
