Always like speed loaders for carry. Unlike the ga-jillion rounds most magazine weapons carry, ya get only six, sometimes five, with the backup revolvers. I carry my speed-loader with five rounds only, because the revolver flange and grip block getting one round lined up, and jiggling around costs too much time, and an occasional round dumped on the ground. I would give this a five star rating but it is the twist-to-release mechanism, while the press to release speed loaders are much more positive loading.

HKS loaders have been around for a long time. I have used them for duty use when revolvers were the primary firearm being used. For the price they are hard to beat and with some practice reloads can be very fast. As with any equipment the key factor is training to be successful. I use these and Safariland comp 2 loaders for my revolvers now. Remember to train I can’t stress this enough. Many gun owners are severely negligent when it comes to on going training and I see the negative results during range sessions all the time. Don’t be that person.

I have several of these and they work great for the Ruger LCR 327 and Taurus 327. Holds the rounds tight but with enough wiggle you can easily align with the cylinder.
