I love this Frida Kahlo Doll. I collect the Unemployed Philosophers Dolls and I purchased this one to add to my collection. It is very well made and a great value for the money. It is delightful to look at displayed on my bookshelf.

Great Gift
I bought this for the administrative assistant in my office who is a poet and adores Frida Kahlo's work. She had been going above and beyond her job description while I was out of town on a family emergency. I bought her this, and she loves it. It is not much, but I wanted her to know I was thinking of her and really appreciated her work.The doll is sturdy and well made. It actually looks more like Kahlo than the picture of the doll does, if that is possible. It is beautiful and sturdy and made a great gift. I will certainly order more from this seller.This would make a great gift for Frida admirers, feminists, poets, and artists alike. We may have to collect the Little Thinkers family. :-)

I dont know whether the description explains, but the monkey velcros on and off...which is a great detail. This is well made (the butt is weighted so it won't fall over on your shelf.) Actually, I have 7 of these dolls (all artists), for my classroom. I made them a little apartment of "studio spaces" with easels of major works. My elementary art students LOVE LOVE LOVE them. They are a HUGE hit with the K-6 set, especially Frida! I'm just waiting for them to make a Georgia O'Keefe. Don't hesitate, this is totally worth the money.

Missing a nose and a mustache.
For some reason they don't like to give her her mustache so you know you have to add it, but also she arrived without a nose! So that too had to be sewn on as well. But it looks better now anyways!
