The quality of the product is great, you can definitely notice the rustic look imperfect look that is reminiscent of a home made bar of soap. This is my first bar of soap from this maker and it was the Patchouli, which is described as an earthy musky aroma reminiscent of wet soil. I personally store my soap in a ziplock back in order to prevent the water from hitting it and causing it to dissolve rapidly. Now the first day I used the bar the smell was very mild, however on the second day of use I quickly notice that the scent was very strong, probably around 6 times as much as the first day (something that people with very sensitive noses should beware of) and oh musky it was! I don’t know how to put it but for a minute I thought my dog (who sleeps on my pile of dirty clothes when I shower) had some flatulence, because the scent caught me off guard. But I quickly noticed that as soon as I put the soap back in the ziplock and rinsed off the soap from my body the super strong smell dissipated. Now if you can bear through the strong smell as you shower then you’ll find that the strong smell doesn’t linger much and you’re left with your skin smelling mildly of soil. I personally think that this aroma was not for me but I don’t want to write a negative review as the soap delivered as promised, and the overall quality was outstanding. I definitely look forward to trying other scents as I was really impressed with this brand.

This soap is absolutely amazing. Great long lasting strong scent. Creamy smooth lather. And it doubles as a bathroom freshener due to its potency. Love love love it

Soft clean with a good smell but like most glycerin soaps, it doesn’t last long

I’m gonna say first, I’m a retired non-social grumpy old electric utility lineman who never ever reviews anything. Why this? I shave in the shower using a soap bar for lubrication. I try different ones all the time, ever searching for, apparently, this 360Feel Bay Rum Soap. First off, it’s the steal of the century. I have been disappointed by many much more expensive shaving soap. First, it’s a huge bar. My technique is wet my face, hold bar of soap directly under shower spray to just soften the surface of the soap. I then directly rub the bar of soap all over my face, set bar aside, and then hand rub in the film of soap left on my face. This soap develops such a super rich dense lather that the quality and closeness of the shave is honestly unsurpassed. Did I mention the exquisite Bay Rum scent? You don’t have to try hard to smell it because it is awesome. Best ever quality shaving soap, best ever bargain price. So, this is my first foray into this cold-pressed soap thing.This is for the Fresh Aloe scented bar.A friend had claimed that his bar of soap lasted for almost a month - WOW!So did my bar last as long?No...not even close.I would've been happy if I could get 20 - 25 showers on a single bar.I only got...six.This stuff costs $6 - $8 for a 5 oz. (as described - I have not confirmed with a scale).A bar of Lever 2000 (Cucumber and Aloe) - my go-to soap - is 4 oz. for a single bar and costs a little under $1, and I get 4 - 5 showers per bar.A bar of Dial (Icy Aloe) is 4 oz. for a single bar and costs over $1 per bar, and I got 8 - 9 showers per bar.I use a wash cloth, and I take lengthy showers that are 15 - 20 minutes - no, they are no splash & dash type showers.I get pretty grimy and sweaty due to my occupation, so this is a good workout for any soap.As much as I like the Lever 2000 product, the "new" (paper wrapper, not older cardboard box) soap formula does not lather well and doesn't last too long - see above.The Dial product, on the other hand, lathers very well and lasts surprisingly for a 4 oz. bar.This cold-pressed soap lathers slightly less than the Dial soap; it does lather a lot better than the Lever 2000 soap.My water is moderately hard, so those with softer water (or good water conditioners) should experience better lathering.The scent of the Fresh Aloe is natural and smells like "vegetation."Best I can describe the scent is that it smells like watermelon rind, since we just went through watermelon season.The scent is very mild and not overpowering like most mass-produced consumer soaps.This explains reviews that mention the soap not having too much scent.This soap does moisturize a little bit, but it does not leave a film like Dove does.I don't know if it's the aloe ingredient, but I used it when I had a bunch of cuts on my arm and was surprised it didn't sting as much as I thought.In fact, this Fresh Aloe felt like it helped heal all those cuts.Bottom line is that I was disappointed the soap didn't last longer; for the price it's just too expensive to justify it's purchase - maybe if I had more disposable income, this would be a no-brainer as the soap itself fits most of my needs.This stuff costs 4x - 6x as much versus the Lever 2000 and Dial products I already use, when factoring in how long each type of soap lasts!I would be willing to pay $2 - $3 per bar as a fair price, but not over $5!

This soap is fabulous! It smells amazing, very refreshing and makes my skin feel very soft and smooth after my shower. It doesn’t dry out or irritate my skin as some other major brands tend to do. Great if you’re a man or woman! I recommend it highly!

I ordered this soap looking forward to the bay rum fragrance. The soap lathers well and does a really good job of cleaning, but it has no fragrance at all. It is a large, square bar that is a little too big to easily use in the shower. If you are looking for a good soap, this might be the product for you. If you are specifically looking for a bay rum fragrance, you might be disappointed.
