I had birds constantly building nests under my deck on the 1st floor. Put these up and kept the birds away and no more nests.

Don't Work!
These do not detract woodpeckers from pecking holes in your house. Hung several hoping they would keep a destructive woodpecker away from my front porch posts, but they were useless and the woodpeckers made 2 new holes right next to the rods. Waste of money!

Woodpeckers - Great. Downside, Other Birds
We've got a Linden tree in our front yard that both the wife and I deem our favorite tree. Unfortunately, we've had some persistent woodpeckers (sap suckers) that have been girding the tree with holes top to bottom. I bought a package of these, hung them from the lower branches, and haven't seen a woodpecker since.The only downside is they freak out all the other birds we enjoy watching. Solution: Spread some bird feed on the ground a little farther away from the tree. Best of both worlds!

Does not work
These don’t do what it says at all. It worked a little for a max of one day, and then it’s just decor. These items aren’t big enough either for it to be super reflective in my opinion, doesn’t seem that it’s enough to scare the pigeons away. Thought maybe changing positions of where it’s placed might fix the problem, but nope, the birds sit right next to it even though it’s being hung right in their faces
