Always go Old School
Have had my Timex going on two years and haven't had a problem. I guess Timex does "can takes a licken' and keeps on ticken'"

Who doesn’t love a Timex?
Who doesn’t love the basic Timex watch like this one. I purchased this for my 91 year old father because he can see the day, date and time easily. The flexible band also makes it very easy for him to put his watch on and off . timex has always made quality products and this is one of them.

Great, durable watch - EXCEPT changing the day.
This watch is durable and a smaller watch which is perfect for day-to-day use. The time and numerical date are easy to change but it took some time to figure out how to change the day of the week. In order to change the day of the week, you must turn the clock until the 24 hour clock moves the day of the week to appropriate day. It is not hard but takes some time if you need to move the day of the week a few day forward or back.

Men’s watch
The watch is very nice. However, the band is very. Large and might need to be adjusted by a jeweler. I would recommend this for men with large wrists.

Attractive, Durable Watch
So far, it's living up to its reputation. Like the classic commercials used to say, "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking."

Works just like it should, just like a Timex
I bought this Timex Men's South Street Sport Watch to replace one of the same I have been using for several years. I had no problems with the old one, and it was working fine, but I did not realize that replacing the battery in this model Timex is no longer a user possible thing. Without the correct tool, it is virtually impossible to get the back onto the watch correctly without doing damage. (I don't like that, but at the price for the quality, I'll put up with it.) Originally I had ordered an Easy Reader model that had only a date window (no day window), and that I had to return since I could not get the crown to come out the proper distance to adjust the date without stopping the watch, and the self-adjustable band had a problem with hanging slightly open and snagging. It was only later that I found this one which was exactly what I was replacing and liked (and works very well). The description says it has an extended band, and counting the links it is 3 links longer than the one I had before, but it still fits my average to smaller wrist in an acceptable way. If I can figure out a way to remove 1 or 2 links from the band without damaging it I will do that. But it is ok as it is. The face is somewhat lighter in color than the one I had, and that along with slightly wider hands makes it much easier to read in the dark using the Indiglo light feature (which is one of the main reasons I insist on staying with Timex, along with the ultra reliable accuracy). I have used Seiko and Bulova watches I received as awards which cost more than 10 times the price of this model Timex, and for my purposes almost any Timex out-performs those.

WHY, TIMEX??? WHY??????
I know what you're thinking, "wow, this is a great-looking watch at a great price, surely nothing could go wrong if I purchase it", but let me tell you, EVERYTHING with this watch is wrong. The band bites and pinches and pulls hairs like nothing else. I'm thinking about keeping it to replace my shaving razor. A hilarious bonus is that the "adjustable band" at its smallest is too big for my wrist. And there's no way to remove links. Then, the date "function" is the insult to the injury you get from the band.To change the date, you must literally turn the crown until the hands rotate ALL THE WAY TO THE CURRENT DAY OF THE MONTH.Example: Say today is the 27th and the watch comes set to the 3rd. You have to turn the hands all the way around, 24 hours 24 times, until the date physically reaches that 27 marker. So, it's a great arm workout for someone who has a few hours to burn. Me personally, I just wanted a decent watch. Next!

Bad packing.
The way they packed the watch is terrible, as you can see from the pic attached.Fortunately it's still working good.2 stars lost because of that.
