Good quality rubber, seats firmly. Jeeper approved!
These are excellent OEM-style plugs that fit securely, whether wet or dry, and effectively keep mud and debris from accumulating inside the receivers. So far, the rubber has shown no signs of fading or cracking, and I was able to use a red tire marker (rubber paint) to add a matching accent color. In most applications, the plug can be easily pulled out, flipped upward (remaining attached via the tether), and tucked out of the way to use the hitch receiver for items like a bike rack.

Receiver plug
I was concerned about fit and ease of installation. This product is made of a rubber that I had to stretch a bit to get it installed, but I was able to do so with a bit of a pull. The fact that I had to use some pull to get it installed insures me that it will stay in place. It looks good.

Nice OEM style hitch receiver plug with Jeep Logo. Fits perfectly.
Easy to install and keeps dirt and snow from clogging up the receiver. Jeep Logo adds a nice touch over the more generic ones that are available and the price is very competitive.

This went on without a hitch! *bu dum tiss* (Just kidding, it went on the hitch just fine)
But for real, This was a really easy install, as one might imagine.(Review written right after install)You just take the "stretchy" rubber which can stretch just enough to get it around a tow hitch lip, and then contracts firmly around the hitch shaft. Which means your tow hitch has to have some kind of lip, as most of them do and push the rubber head in place in the hole.At first, I criticized how the cover is supposed to swing upwards instead of swing downwards (The rubber swings upwards, and if a hitch is installed, would have to sit on top the hitch) but then later realized that this will reduce swinging of the rubber during driving and improve the lifespan of the cover. As I said before, it's made of rubber. Not the "Soft, going to turn gooey and go bad if exposed to rain" rubber but we are talking like "Toilet Plunger" Rubber. Very similar actually. Sound appalling? Not so fast! Think about it. Those plungers are MADE for water, so think what this thing is built for.Unless you let this sit in a hot climate with direct sunlight with UV rays exposed to it 24/7, then this feels like it should last a good while. It's rubber.Rubber + Sun = eventually will dry out. It's a part of life. With that equation in mind you might be hesitant about getting this, just remember the second equation though.Metal cover + Sun + Rain = RustYou are probably buying one of these to prevent rust in a tow hitch. A non-stainless steel cover will probably rust making things worse.Cheap (At the time I bought it)Very good seal.Quality feeling rubber.Would recommend.-NT

Fits great...
Does the job for our Jeep Gladiator....much better to look at than rusty scratches or chipped paint!

these work great and look nice
this is the 2nd one Ihave purchased (forgot to remove my 1st one when I traded my Jeep Cherokee in for my new Grand Cherokee... easy to strect onto the hitch reciever... I did trim both of them tho... on the strap that stretches around the reciever, there is a bulky piece of rubber that when installed, sticks down below the lip on the hitch reciever. This interfered with a hitch silencer that keeps things from rattling around.. simple fix, just carefully trimmed it with a razor blade.

It's been a month since I installed mine and it's still there with a great fit. Nice quality item and I am very ...
This item fit my aftermarket hitch perfectly! I had previously purchased a rubber hitch cover without a tether from a local auto parts store and it was hard/plasticky rubber. It had a loose fit and it fell out just as soon as I took my hands off of it. This item, in comparison, is soft and rubbery and the fit was sufficiently snug. Plus, this item has a tether and a place to slide in the coupler adapter so if it ever slid off, it would still be attached by the tether. It's been a month since I installed mine and it's still there with a great fit. Nice quality item and I am very satisfied with this purchase!
