I was surprised at the texture/surface of these placemats. I was expecting something completely smooth, like a veneer. The “cracks” and lines in the marble pattern actually have a texture, and the white parts are matte not shiny. I was immediately worried that my kids would ruin them, but they are holding up great! We were able to wipe off pasta sauce and tikka masala with no staining :)

I like everything about them. They are sturdy and stay in place during use. The size is perfect and I like them especially for being a bit wider than standard size. Very pretty design and color, so they became a permanent part of dining table. We simply wipe them after use and leave them on the table. Highly recommended.

Product pattern is very pretty. However these placemats are not as sturdy as other brand placemats I’ve purchased (Pimpernel). That’s the reason for the 4 rating. I bought these because of pattern (metallic rose gold vein on white/gray marble), and because the came in a 2pack not 4 pack like most others. I needed one for under Bosch mixer that has suction grippers underneath. The other one’s usage TBD. Can’t rate heat resistance since they’re not being exposed to heat. One was slightly damaged in sealed cellophane package. One small portion of corner was bent up, so if they were going to be used as placemats, I would have exchanged them for new set, same product.

These placemats are quite attractive without having gaudy scenes on them!Plain, clean look. Much better than the plastic weave mats that liquid goes right through and stains your table.I HIGHLY recommend the look and quality of these mats. Price is a little high or I would’ve bought two more.But, price is comparable to other like products whose quality may be questionable.No questions on these….I will defiantly replace with same when needed and at some point, I plan to buy 2 more!

A very sturdy cork board product, supposedly meant for table mats when eating, I use these for decorating my kitchen walls around the stove, which is a cutout square of wall spacing. To make it a little abstract, I purchased 2 rectangular and 4 round mats of the same design. They sit on a ledge above the counter and are more sturdy than flexible, they do not bend when on edge.Pic from my studio kitchen...don't mind the dishes in the sink... LOL!

Pretty but not durable, just a photo paper over cork. I may get a year or two out of it before it goes to crap.

Beautiful and elegant… but cork base limits practicality. Water or washing limits use due to cork bottom. If you will only wipe it off it’s gorgeous

I returned the 4 placemats without using. They were not very thick and the surface was not laminated so I imagined that wiping them would make them deteriorate very quickly. Not worth the money.
