Got this for my toddler (22 months old) for Christmas and he’s been playing with it nonstop! Great quality, I love that all the pieces stay organized in the box.It’s taught him about puzzles, matching, getting dressed and emotions!! Love all the different faces it comes with!

We bought this for a couple plane rides when we were going on a trip to Costa Rica. Our three and four-year-olds really liked this and they all played with it. They had a lot of fun changing all the outfits and because the pieces are wood they’re very durable. They like matching the colors and finding the right bears for the puzzle pieces. This is a great travel toy and definitely helped them pass the time on the plane.

I find that not all Melissa and Doug toys are built to the same quality but this is one of the good ones. There are no chips, splints or mismatched/badly stuck on pictures on this one. It is one of my daughters favourite toys that she plays with at least 5 days of the week every week and it keeps her attention for a good 5 - 10 minutes. She's had this since she was 2 1/2 and is now 3 and still enjoys it. It's good to travel with (as long as you put an elastic band around the box) to play with in a hotel room/grandma's etc.

The pieces are not all interchangeable. The momma, daddy and baby bear all have different size heads, bodies and feet This makes it extremely difficult for a 2 year old.There are different 5 heads and outfits for each bear making a total of 15 for all 3. I took out 2 full sets for each bear and stored the rest away in a zip lock bag. I picked outfits that have contrasting colors with the other bears so that my 2 year old granddaughter can easily complete each puzzle.The 15 bear heads all display different emotions. Our 2 year old did not like the angry and sad emotions so it made narrowing down the choices pretty easy.The full set would be a nice challenge for an older child. Modifying it by taking out pieces makes it a great puzzle for younger children.I love that I can adjust the difficulty by adding or taking away pieces.All of the pieces are stored nicely inside the box and our 2 year old can easily slide the lid off herself to access the pieces.The first photo shows the sets I keep in the box and the other photos show the remaining sets that I have stored away until our granddaughter gains more skills.

My almost 2 year old loves this! She will play with it for 30 mins to an hour moving pieces around and trying new things. Only issue is losing the pieces around the house, but otherwise I highly recommend for anyone on the fence.

I bought this for my daughter when she was three years old and it is one of my favorite purchases I've made for her. It seems like such a simple toy -- put faces and clothes on a mommy, daddy, and child bear-- but it is multifaceted.Each bear comes with several faces including sad, happy, surprised, angry, and surprised. They also come with several outfits including pajamas and rain gear. The pieces are relatively thick and durable--they're made of a material that reminds me of thin particle board. They're not flimsy cardboard pieces that will easily bend. The box comes with a lid that doubles as the puzzle board. I love that there's a lid.Other reviewers mentioned that all the pieces weren't interchangeable. I never expected them to be, after all, the bears are clearly different shapes and sizes. It's easy to tell which bear most of the pieces go with and my three year old figured it out pretty easily.This puzzle is excellent for helping children identify and express feelings. My daughter was a very late talker, so she used it to let us know what was on her mind, which included letting me know that I needed to put on my happy face more often. It's good for identifying correct matches for the clothing. You can even use it to talk about weather -- when do you wear sweaters? Raincoats?My daughter played with this for 30 minutes at a time nearly daily, for over a year. She adored this puzzle and even now, at five, she'll pull it out to play with on occasion.

By doing this puzzle toddlers learn to accept challenges, overcome problems and deal with frustration.Because of how this puzzle is design with different faces for different outfit, children have to remember which piece is going to fit where. This puzzle helps them to increase memory and motor skills.It is will made, good quality. Value for your money.
