A Real Fantastic Upgrade
First I should say that I am quite aware of the power of Intel processors and I personally have no objection with any one of them but when it comes to the price and total costs of making a customized computer I still would rather deal with AMD CPUs or APUs to make what it works out for me and I can simply afford doing it.As a record for anyone who is reading this feedback in the future I should say the reality that I am not a gamer of any kind at all but I do a lot of videos and graphics with my computer and I really care about the overall speed and stability at the same time. I also do a lot of extra tweets including over locking and OS customizations to get the most out of my system.I just upgrade my APU from A10-5800K to this one and after I have done what I needed to do I run some tests including benchmarks to see and compare the differences and I got amazed. This is exactly what I expected to get before I started upgrading. This is not a huge upgrade on my customized system but for what I paid for it is a fantastic one.I never even paid for a separate graphic card but what I am getting with this APU is above my expectations. I'm planning to upgrade my current HDD to a faster and possibly bigger capacity one by cloning everything I have right now directly to the new HDD which will be most likely a SSD one with 2 TB capacity and then I will see how my computer will explode instead of process!I highly recommend this chip for whoever consider himself a AMD fan.Update on 12/25/2016:I'm using my desktop computer with this new AMD Upgrade as I explained before and so far didn't see any problem or issue. I made the computer working without any interruption or restart or shout down to see if I put maximum pressure on the chip if it goes possibly on blue screen as it was happening once in a while in such a conditions but I didn't see anything and this is exactly what I was expecting before I buy this chip. With 4 CPU cores (if you made them work all 4 cores from the time you are starting the Windows) and 8 Cores on Graphic Card, my computer has more room to process what it used to in comparison with the old AMD Chip that I had before. But one thing that I really didn't expect and I also experienced that was when I tried to play a 4K video and the player instantly handled the joy. So I looked back at my motherboard manual and I found on MSI A88X-G45 that if you use a FX2 AMD generation APU with this motherboard you can get 4K videos with 24Hz which is quite enough to watch a video but gaming and if your monitor can handle Graphics over 60Hz and even over 100Hz then you can do as high as 120Hz on full 1080P resolution which is the ideal configuration for the gamers.Just imagine this one little single AMD produce the power and output close to an Intel i5 generation with a separate graphic card installed on the motherboard.I'm super happy with this purchase.

Another nice effort from AMD
A nice APU if you have "realistic" expectations about what it is and isn't. It IS a great APU that has enough built in graphic power to power a day to day work, web, email machine and be able to do some "moderate" gaming at lower resolutions and FPS. I ISN'T a high power gaming platform! It will be hit or miss what games and resolutions you will be able to play. Trial and error plus reviews will tell you what works with this APU. I can tell you that this chip really needs the fastest RAM speeds for full performance. IMO 2133 MHz or faster DIMMS. Overall I like where AMD is going with their APU's so we should see even better stuff down the road. For now though the 7850K is the boss.I used this APU in a new build for my daily driver. Used a Fractal Define R4 case, ASUS A88X-PRO motherboard, ADATA XPG V1.0 OC Series 16GB DDR3 2133MHZ memory. I didn't use the stock cooler that came with the chip, I installed a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 evo due to the fact that this is a 95 watt chip and tends to run a bit hotter. My uses are primarily web, streaming HD content, email, light video editing, and recording music. The APU delivers everything I need for that. Easily driving my HP 25bw and 23bw monitors at native resolution.Machine booted up perfectly first time and has run stable with a fresh install of Win 8.1. I was able to use the auto overclocking feature on the ASUS A88X to get an overclock of 4558.0 MHz on the CPU and 960.0 MHz on the GPU with the system remaining stable. IMO If you're looking for an APU build you can't go wrong with this chip.

Amazing APU from AMD
Wow, I'm very happy with this CPU. I've only had this CPU for a few days but from what I've seen most will be happy as well.I had been researching CPU's for a HTPC build and when this went on sale I decided why not. This CPU I think will be all I'll ever need.Installation-The CPU is mounted on an ASRock FM2A78M Pro4+ with 8 gigs of 1866 MHz ram. I'm running Win 7 64 bit. I installed AMD's latest Catalyst software and drivers for the APU. I decided to use an after market cooler since I read that the CPU runs hot. I'm using the Raijintek Pallas because it's low rise to fit in an Apex DM-317 case that came with a 300 watt PSU installed. I use a Transcend SSD 370 512 GB hard drive and a Samsung BD drive. I have the system connected to a Vizio M492i-B2 via HDMI through a Yahama RX-V475 receiver. In use operation-I'm not a gamer but I'm going to try it with this CPU. I mostly do normal things like surf the web, watch YouTube, use various productivity software, follow the stock market using various software, ripping and encoding video from my DVD and Blu-ray collection to watch on my tablet while I'm traveling, ripping my CD's to Flac, and editing video and pictures that I take. This CPU doesn't brake a sweat doing these things.Benchmarks and monitoring the CPU-I use the freeware CPUID HWMonitor ver 1.28 to see what my system is doing. I have the computer set for turbo boost, you set this when the computer boots by pressing x and it went from 3.7 MHz to 4.0 MHz, I guess this is a form of overclocking without going into the bios. Under load, say when ripping a DVD to mkv video format to save tons of space on my tablet with excellent quality at 260 fps using DVDFab which is incredible. At this speed a DVD rip takes 10 t0 15 min max. This CPU uses all the core's to crunch numbers including the GPU video cores. This thing has 4 CPU and 8 GPU cores for an amazing 12 cores of computing power. With HWMonitor you can see this in action. Here is some stat's from HWMonitor:CPU temps - idle 32c, under full load 49cGPU temps - idle 35c, under full load 74cCompute power in watts used - idle 32 to 35 W, under full load 125 WCPU clock speeds - idle 1697 MHz, under full load 3993 MHzCPU utilization's all cores - idle 0 to 2%, under full load 100%GPU graphics clock speeds - idle 351 MHz, under full load 720 MHzGPU memory clock speeds - idle 333Mhz, under full load 933 MHzGPU utilization's - idle 0%, under full load 100% these kick in during video or DVD or Blu-ray watching not during number crunching. From these numbers it's clear that this processor is energy efficient and only throttles up when the job calls for it.All and all to me this is a fantastic processor for the money and once software catches up with coding to fully take advantage of all 12 compute cores at once this thing will be a superstar.
