This model is a Direct Thermal Printer so there is no ribbon spooler. This model does not have a network card - but multiple connectivity options: parallel, 10/100 Ethernet, 802.11a/b/g/n wireless are available on other models.

Q: Does this print images?

The printer is monochrome, so it prints in 1 color ribbon. You can print images and it works well as long as there is no gray scale. Solid images like logos with no graduated screens or halftones print well and you can use the free software provided by the printer. Hope that helps.
