These are Amazing
These fit my ear canals and really block sound well, really well. Maybe, too well. They are reusable and cheap. The marshmallow type don't work that well and the expensive ones aren't good either. These are comfortable, too.

Best earplugs I've found....by far !
Reviews for this brand other earplug brands were helpful in my search so I wanted to do the same. These plugs are excellent ! Don't be swayed by their low cost for 3 pair, they're made by 3M. I'd had a pair of these for extensive international business travel and left them in a foreign country....I didn't know their brand because they'd been a gift. I'm extremely glad I found them again. They're on the side of being "larger diameter" but I'm a male with normal ear canal size and they work really well for me. On long international flights if I push them snugly into my ears they block 90% of the jet engine noise in flight ! which is a real benefit when you're trying to get some rest or sleeping. I can only imagine for loud power equipment and the like they'd really protect your hearing. Some really good features I find is the "flanges" that go in your ear are soft and pliable and the posts you grasp to insert the plugs and remove them are not flimsy, they're "firm" and easy to grasp. Before I found these on Amazon I'd ordered the Etymotic ETY-Plugs High Fidelity Earplugs, Standard Fit, Frost Tip for me they were way too small a diameter and no matter the position only blocked 30-40% of the noise at most, the Large would've probably been a better fit but I couldn't find them offered....I returned these. Prior to these I purchased the Junhua Reusable Silicon corded plugs....they had a very strong silicone smell when I opened the package and they were so soft and basically flimsy I couldn't get them properly positioned...the post you grasp to insert them is way too pliable and flexy which affects trying to use them... I returned these. I'm very glad I could find these replacements.

Better than foam plugs for me
(Review for Reusable Earplugs, NOT foam plugs)I tried foam plugs and could not get a good fit. They provided almost no sound cancellation. These reusable ear plugs work much better even though they have a lower decibel rating. Unfortunately, they tend to slip out a bit whenever you flex your jaw even a little. The sound becomes noticeably louder when this happens. Every few minutes I must reach up and twist/push the plugs for a better fit.Insertion is different than inserting foam plugs. You don't need to roll up the plug, just push it slowly into your ear canal. I actually had trouble finding the correct angle to insert into my ear canal! If necessary, careful probing with a Q-Tip can help you find the right insertion angle. Twisting the plug back and forth as you insert helps. The plugs are flared out as you push them in. This can compress air between the ear plug and the ear drum. This may be uncomfortable or painful. If painful, stop and try inserting more slowly. Once in, I found the plugs uncomfortable but bearable and worth the sound reduction. My ears no longer are ringing after leaving the gym class. If I can ever find foam plugs which work for me, I will switch back to foam. For now, the 3M reuseable are doing the job.

Great for loud job sites and homes
I use these for work as a electrician on commercial sites. They work well especially when people fire grid shots. They also help to fall asleep at home when kids sty up late and I have to work early.

Great For Power Tools - PLUGS MADE IN USA
I've used these 3M earplugs for years with electric power tools, chainsaws, and while doing surveys in manufacturing facilities. They work well, are reasonably comfortable, and the lanyard is helpful when you remove just one for a conversation or both to hang them around your neck. If you wear a hard hat you can run the lanyard through the head strap or clip it to the helmet so they don't get lost. For convenience, I keep one in all my noisy power tool boxes (circular saw, chainsaw, router, etc.). I store them in old pill bottles rather than playing origami trying to stuff them into the overly small included case.Notes:>> Earplugs made in USA, Lanyards attached in Mexico, Case made in China. So you don't have to worry about funky Chinese chemicals leaching out when they come in contact with your skin. One plastic case is included with the two sets of earplugs.>> For me, these don't provide adequate protection while shooting. I tried them once shooting targets and experienced some ear ringing.>> Many power tools exceed the 85 decibel hearing damage threshold (NIOSH), so it's good to keep these in your power tool boxes. Ringing in your ears is a sign of hearing damage, which can be permanent.>> With this style of earplugs, pulling up on the top of your ear makes insertion easier.

Cutting cost and product suffers
These used to be better with thicker cord. Last set I bought had way more flimsy cord.

SERIOUS noise cancellation fora great price
Bought these because I'm enduring some very noisy construction right behind my house right now and they start hammering and running tractors and trucks past my back wall the minute the sun's up. So, I slip these in an hour or so before the madness begins and can't hear a thing 'til I take them out. I've tried all kinds of earplugs over the years and these are the first ones that have been so easy to insert properly and comfortable to sleep in, too. If you want NO noise at all without having to readjust or reinsert at all. these are the ones to buy. They're durable, too. I'm still using the first pair after weeks of use and they still fit snugly and comfortably. Peace and quiet whenever I want it!
