Nice rope
Well made rope. The eyelet on the end is aluminum and failed pretty quickly.

Good strong rope
I use this rope to secure docks to land via a cleat to a tree. Good price and value for the length you get. The rope is secure and well made. I can attest to its strength as it didn't snap in a recent storm with 45+ MPH winds. Good value - would purchase again.

nightmare to unravel
Other than being a nightmare to unravel I love the rope. We went a different route and used it for railings and absolutely love them

It's definitely rope but .....
No documentation supporting claims of strength, material, date of manufacture or manufacture's name, or size accompanying product.Product not a course fiber. Definitely 1/2", and it floats so it should be polypropylene. Eye spliced easily, on the boat now so we'll see how she wears.Update August 28, 2022: rope has been used as permanent dock line in Texas since February 2022 and has failed or become a powdery mess very near failure. I had expected it to last at least the whole year but will be replaced by polyester-dacron in September. I am not sure how long it took to reach unsatisfactory status but my guess is 6 months of continuous use. This line might work as a temporary dock line if stored out of the sun.

Sturdy and Does The Job
I'm not actually using this for a boat anchor- I used it to set up a high line for my horses to graze in an unfenced field. It is really durable and can withstand two horses pulling on it. It hasn't stretched, frayed or broken, so I'm really happy with it.

Additional hook a bonus
We are not using this for a dock but having the additional hook was a bonus. It comes delivered nicely packed, at first I didn't think it was 100 feet, but it's all there. Good product!

Twisted, not braided
I ordered the 1/2"x100ft anchor rope and it's indeed a standard three strand twisted rope as pictures would suggest - not braided, which is what's all over the description. It appears to be put together fairly well and be real nylon though, according to the melt test. Breaking strength listed is also in line with other 3-strand nylon ropes out there.I contacted the seller about the twisted vs braided discrepancy and also a small nick about 15' from one end of the rope instead of sending it back to Amazon and they immediately offered to make things right. Gotta love it when sellers stand behind their products!

Not bad for the price
Rope started to unbraid right away where it is joined to the metal loop. The green cover slipped up the rope and exposed the loose strands. I taped the loose strands, cut the green cover to fit over the taped area then bought a large heat shrink to cover the areas as well. other than that, it functioned as it should. Not a bad deal for the price, compared to the price at larger retail stores.
