Perfect!
Perfect for what they’re meant to do, these Cat Knee Pads fit perfectly inside the knee pockets of the Cat Pants I bought with em (Caterpillar Men's H2o Defender Pants).Working on renewing my sisters Ipe Deck( using a Festool RO150 Rotex...a.k.a. Rex Quick-Sand )I sit for long periods of time on me achin knees... ever since I got these babies, the whole ordeal has been made that much easier, and now I don’t have to get up every once in a while to give those knees a break from the pain!On the contrary ,now I have to remind myself several times each session to get up so I can give me other limbs a rest ...it’s just real comfy staying down there, and working with that wonderful machine just became THAT much more fun!!Add to that the price which is next to nothing, specially when you compare it to other, more full blown knee pads, that I’m sure may be fine in their own right, but a can also probly be a bit more cumbersome ...The only eeetttiieee beeety thing I might say that might need improving is that sometimes they sorta slip a wee bit too low under the knee itself, but that may very well be cause the Awesome Cat Pants I got are a bit too long on me.

Switch to inserts. These are great
I love the CAT pants, and have about 4 pairs that I wear regularly. They are awesome. Considering they all have the kneepad pocket, I figured I'd buy some. Maybe 15% of my work is on my knees, so I don't get to use them often, but they make life a lot easier when you have them. When I recieved the kneepad, my first though was "what is this cheap junk?!"My first instinct was to try to tear them, and even at the thin parts, they did not tear!It blew my mind. They're so lightweight and flexible, and the material is so strong, despite its misleading appearance. You don't even known they're there when wearing them.I'm 100% into these inserts, because if you've ever used the pads with straps, they dig into the back of your knee and slide down your leg all day. What a great value. I might order a "back-up pair to keep at home, and keep this pair in the truck. I'll keep using these and update my review if I have any issues. But so far, my guess is that the pants will rip/fail before these. Thanks for reading!

Nice but little small for custom knee pad
Very nice product - gave 4 stars instead of 5 because = I purchased Caterpillar knee pads for my Caterpillar pants BUT there is way to much room in the knee pad pouch, it shifts to side and has to be adjusted frequently, I really though the Caterpillar knee pads would have been a perfect fit for Caterpillar pants but I was wrong. There is another after market knee pad almost exactly like there's but less expensive, I did purchase them also and am unable to tell the difference. Would have given 5 stars if the pads were wider to fit the knee pad pouch better.

Even better than I expected
They fit in the knee holder pockets snuggly and offer decent padding. It isn't the super-thick and plush like the strap on types of knee pads, but the foam is dense enough to really make a difference if you are working on a job where you are constantly on your knees. I have yet to bottom them out to the surface I was kneeling on. The real advantage of using these with the Caterpillar pants is they STAY PUT and don't have a strap burning into the back of your legs like traditional exterior knee pads. I used to spend half the time sliding my old knee pads up and back onto my knee caps because they constantly slipped down and before the end of the day, the straps would have chafed the heck out of the backs of my knees. You also don't get dirt and stones between your pad and your knee with these like you do in traditional knee pads if you are working in soil (garden, planting trees, driving fence posts, etc.). I put them into the pants when when the job requires kneeling and leave them out when it doesn't. Also, they are completely unobtrusive when in use. I always forget they are in there. No movement restrictions at all.

A little cumbersome to get in and out, but work well.
Arrived on time and great packaging. Feel comfortable. We'll see how long they last. All in all great value.

Needs improvement
Bought it to use with the CAT pants. Used daily for construction.Pros:Slides into pant knee pockets easilyFlexible due to the groovesNo behind the knee band so you're not sweating like other knee pads that have the spandex straps.Cons:Thin ..need to be thicker.Width is shorter than the knee pockets so it slides around and usually ends on the side you don't need it to be.When I bend down to kneel, I usually catch the edge of the knee pads, where it has the thinner padding. I notice the pant leg twist a little when bending, causing the contact to be on the edge. Maybe make the pads wider and also same thickness from left to right.Overall the pads are okay. Needs to be thicker and I'm not even heavy (under 200 lbs). Can feel the ground, scary if I kneel in a nail for example...Update after using for 2 weeks on the construction site:Ended up buying 1" thick rectangular pads, cut them to 7-3/4" x 10", score cuts in areas that should bend and squeezed them into my CAT pants. Looks weird because they're a little stiff but the comfort is amazing.

Saved my knees doing belt work.
Was on all kinds of different rocks, gravel you name it stuff up in BP plants I couldn’t even name. Helped my blown out knee so much. I did put in upside down but that was my mistake. Still would recommend. You don’t know how much your knees take a beating till you get older and I already get injections to keep me going. These helped a ton.
