Well, it's a metal detector. Not much to say overall. It is realistic to expect to find anything from lead, silver, steel, tin, gold and everything in between. You can find these functions in all metal detectors, but the way this one does it is why purchasing a quality unit from Garrett will make your treasure- hunting experience more efficient and fun.There are different modes where you can omit certain types of materials. For example, set it to tone only when it detects gold and steel, and give a different tone for less desirable metals like lead or tin. You can also adjust sensitivity and Fremont depth of the object. All of these functions are more advanced features that really help when unearthing potentially valuable items.The product is relatively lightweight and comfortable to use. It has excellent balance to prevent arm and shoulder fatigue. It comes in a compact package. Additionally, it comes with a wand style detector to help narrow down the items location in a pile of dirt should you miss the item you were going for while digging. This is a fully comprehensive kit for all users. From the novice, to the intermediate and experienced users.I have used this unit in dirt, sand, mud and even shallow water on the beach. I've had it for any 9 months now, and to date haven't had any issues with damage. Yes, the head itself is waterproof. I wouldn't fly submerge the control panel, but I've used it in rain without issues. I've found dogtags, coins, a gold ring, one diamond stud earring, and a handful of old keys. Every day with this unit is an adventure, and i would recommend purchasing this product.

I had some arrows to find on the property from my archery hobby. Found all the arrows, tiny nails, random wagon parts, and a horse shoe from the 1700s. Excellent and you can customize the sensitivity--and can toggle it making a noise for iron vs more valuable metals.

My husband has started Metal Detecting for old war relics. He wanted a more expensive metal detector than what he had. This one comes with alot of stuff. He really likes it and it gets the job done. It is lightweight and durable.

The only problem I have with this product is that there is no actual instruction booklet. You have to go online to find it and read it that way or download it.

Sturdy and easy to use. I bought it for hunting coins and such on land where an old house stood. Very accurate. But be sure to learn how to read the numbers on the meter because at first I was digging up a ton of aluminum cans that were hitting in the silver “range”. There’s a learning curve but excellent metal detector.

Works great, even at the beach. Worth the money to get a machine this user friendly.

Recieved on time. Product was as expected, everything in good shape. I've always had the cheaper detectors and decided to spend the extra on this one after reading reviews and watching multiple videos. I am NOT disappointed! detected around the yard for a bit and realized what I had been missing out on. It is simple to use, functions are easy to adjust. Good 1st time beginner detector.
