Just good coffee
I usually brew hot coffee in the morning but sometimes I have a week where I know I won't have the extra time to brew something up. For those times I like preparing a pitcher of cold brew the day before and then I will have enough for 2-3 days of grab n go. I use a Takeya cold brew filter pitcher and have an Encore grinder. The Volcanica Cold Brew blend does what it says... it makes a good cup of cold brew. I like the flavor profile and it takes a splash of cream well.I haven't tried the other Volcanica flavors (use Stumptown and Lavazza for hot brewing)

Best Coffee for brewing Cold Brew at Home
I am a Cold Brew addict. For years, I've been filling Starbucks pockets by purchasing their cold brew coffees almost daily. I decided to buy my own set up to save some money and it sat for a year. With the economy, and increased prices (including Starbucks!), I decided to re-visit my efforts. Tried a couple grocery store whole bean purchases but YUCK. Finally did a search online for best coffee for cold brew at home, and came across a life-saving article!! This was one of the top 10 in the author's list so I gave it a try and O.M.G. 1st pot came out UH-mazing! I literally could no longer drink Starbucks after this - it ruined me for anything else! Nutty, chocolately, smooth finish, DELICIOUS and I'll never go back. I brew in a 2-qt jar and I get about 3 batches out of a pound. A little pricey at $16.99 but OMG totally worth it! Especially since I was also buying the Starbucks Cold Brew out of the dairy case, and those are now up to $6.49 a bottle - RIP OFF! I get about 4-5 coffees out of each batch (3-4 if I do 16 oz cup) and I pretty much drink daily (one a day usually, sometimes two). Want your own better than Starbucks Cold Brew Coffee? Get yourself a bag of this coffee, a 2-qt cold brew pitcher with filter (County Line makes an awesome one, around $28), and a Burr Grinder. Then grind beans on coarsest setting possible (15 on mine), pour into filter (leaving about 1 to 1-1/2 in from top), add water (preferably filtered) to fill and steep on counter for 26 hours (took me 3 tries to get the right details)-and I guarantee you will be the hap-hap-happiest cold brew drinker since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny (bleep) Kaye! If this could be ordered on subscription, I'd so do it!

Great twist in Volcanica's usual high quality beans
I've gotten two bags of this and each was wildly different in flavor profile, but I didn't mind that. The first was strong cocoa hot chocolate flavored with an aroma to match. It brewed nicely, strong with a rich cocoa flavor but not much acidity. The second batch I got smells like strawberries almost maybe a little jasmine fragrant when you get a good sniff. It brews nicely, with mild acidity and a good light roast profile. I'm going to try pour over or aeropress with this second fruity batch to see what I can get out of it. Good stuff.

Was very happy with the flavor
I had not tried cold brew coffee before. I had bought this brand before and liked it so I bought the cold brew beans. It is delicious. I've made coffee ice cubes with it and I have cups of this. I usually put a ton of flavors, cream and sugar into my coffee but the cold brew is luscious with just half and half and a touch of sugar. Cold brew is so smooth, I love that. I could drink this day and night, but for obvious reasons I don't. I immediately bought two more bags. ☕🧊
