Fantastic Dock with plenty of I/O, great design and built to last.
I've used OWC products for several years and recently bought this to pair with my new MacBook Air M2. It doesn't disappoint, the speeds are excellent and there are plenty of options on offer to connect peripherals. The device itself is very well built and matches the general design of Apple products. Highly recommended.

Finally a dock that works perfectly with my M1 Macbook Pro!
This is the third dock I have tried. Initially I went for a budget USB-C dock which constantly affected my MBP's wifi (google it!) and even the Bluetooth connection to my Magic Keyboard. If you have an M1 mac avoid USB-C docks. Then I tried a Thiunderbolt 3 dock - a Wavlink UDT21 which completely failed to detect any extrenal displays. Finally, after returning both previous attempts I went for this OWC dock which was the one I always wanted but i was trying to save money. It works perfectly and the build quality is on another level entirely. What do they say? - You get what you pay for. I can't recommend this enough - especially if you have an M1 Mac.

Perfect dock, shame about the cable
Although at the top end of the dock market in price, the tech reviews and YouTube videos about it where enough to convince me to invest. It’s happily powering my 2 displays, stream deck, ext HDD, iPad, headphones and iPhone and Watch charger. My only criticism is the painfully small thunderbolt 3 cable. I bought this so I could hide away the rats nest, but with a cable so short - it left me needing to order another!Seems trivial, but when you pay so much for a dock, you expect them to include a decent length cable.Asides from that, I’m happy with my purchase

Brilliant dock, even better with an added extra
I've constantly found OWC to be a brilliant company when it comes to peripherals, cables and internal drives. This dock lives up to their usual quality and is essential kit for anyone wanting to get round the annoying Mac connector issues. Whether used for printers and secondary displays, to higher end live a/v set ups, the dock has handled it all.One word of caution. I found the lightening cable input is ridiculously sensitive to movement; the smallest tug on the cable and the connection with the Macbook is lost. The answer is pretty simple: OWC also make little stick-on gips called Cling-Ons which hold the cable in to the dock most securely. To be honest, even if I didn't have the issue, I probably would have got some as they really guard against cable damage. Oh, and go for the longest connecting cable you can - you always need more!

Increasingly rare ability to connect to an Apple Cinema Display but mains supply flaky, now failed
The superb thing about this dock has been the ability to connect a recent Mac to an old Apple Cinema Display via Mini DisplayPort. Unfortunately the mains power supply through the unit has proven unreliable - apparently due to the quality of the USB power connection port. I've replaced the cable thinking that this was the problem but it's either the port or something internal. The concept is good but the build quality is apparently lacking.

perfect for what I needed with my MacBook Pro M1
Easy to set up and plug everything in, much better than my old Lenovo USB C hub!

Worth it!
I'm loving it!It works out of the box without any set up, installation, etc. Just plug in and it ready to go!If you have a laptop with thunderbolt port, it's a must have gadget!!!I use it as a media server storage hub, with an alienware laptop and it works great! It obviously won't charge it, but the achievable speeds are great!
