Use in Homemade Dog Food
I use a tiny bit, about 1/4 teaspoon, in a couple of homemade dog food recipes. It is a good source of electrolytes for my small dog.

Lower blood pressure naturally
Potassium helps to lower blood pressure, however I found out that you also need to take magnesium to help maintain the proper balance of potassium. I take both potassium chloride and magnesium chloride (2 pinches of each in a half glass of water) to keep my BP at normal levels. BP is 120 over 67 without meds.

Not what I expected
It comes in a solid plastic container and it properly sealed. The container weighs 1 1/2 oz, and the container and mixture weigh 16 oz, so getting 14 1/2 oz of product. It says magnesium carbonate added, doesn't say how much. This is different from the additives for other brands of potassium chloride we have used. The texture feels like it may be a substantial amount. My husband is concerned as his doctor has instructed him not to take magnesium with certain of his medications in the morning. As I take both potassium and magnesium supplements, I would be glad of an amount per oz./serving as many other supplements report so I can better track my intake. It does not have the same sharp tang that the other brands we have been using have, it has a very mild unremarkable taste. This is good for adding it to drinks or other things to supplement potassium as it wouldn't alter the taste. less desirable if you are using it as a salt substitute and want it to add salt-like zing to foods. The container is half full, so half the possible product for the same amount of plastic, storage space, & shipping. The weight of the oversized container is included in the advertised weight. As the package weighs 1.5 oz., for every 10 bottles that is 15 oz. - more than what 1 bottle actually contains.

May be what I'm missing-vegan
I immediately took. Realized to take it separate from activated charcoal since that absorbs every nutrient from utilization. OMG energy abounds. I added this for detoxing from heavy metal thallium (and others) and will probably continue its use daily. Helps muscle twitching. I believe I have more strength in my legs which will allow me walking longer and stronger. Read FDA may use this in foods (tastes like salt) instead of sodium chloride. Doc prescribe to assist after effects of diarrhea. My friend has COPD and doc prescribed a little of this daily.

High quality potassium powder, dissolves well
I add this to water for my wife so she gets enough electrolytes. This plus a liquid magnesium. It works way better than the flavored powders that cost way more per dose. Would buy again!

Can affect your heart!
I bought this in August of 2021. It seems like the recommended dose was 850, but maybe I just decided to take that much. I ended up in the emergency room two nights in a row. My heart went nuts! I'm just lucky I didn't have a heart attack. I have never had a problem with my heart ever, but I'm in my 70s. Funny, I can eat two bananas and my heart is fine. That would be around 850 mg, or a medium avocado, same. I think there should be ample warning about the dangers of too much magnesium powder on the label. Maybe there is by now. I wouldn't know. But, it's not hard to find info regarding potassium supplements and their possible effect on the heart. Maybe that's why the tablets are always 99mg and the recommended amount is one per day?

Gets into my nasal mucous
I have not used this product according to the directions on the container but instead use it as a salt substitute. The directions on the container say 1/8 tsp in an 8 oz glass of water, twice a day. For over a year, I put a 1/8 to 1/3 tsp on servings of food that can be improved by salting, often twice in one meal. It took quite a while for me to realize that it was being expressed in my nasal mucus as a dry white coating inside my nostrils. So I cut back to 1/8 tsp or less once a day as a salt substitute and the problem is more or less gone. An ENT doctor I visited believed it was an infection but the ointment he prescribed didn't help so eventually I re-read the warning or the label and figured out what was going on. The government RDA for potassium is quite high and can't be reached via an ordinary American diet and while potassium chloride is a rich source of potassium, it must be used with caution. I could not find documentation about the side effect I experienced.
