Honestly this is one of the most easy to use and cheapest alarm clocks . It’s the perfect small size and it’s super cute for kids too. The night light is a great feature, (when the light is off there’s a green backlight to it but it’s not at all bright or bothersome to sleep). PLUS, the nightlight is completely optional! You can turn it on and off. The alarm sound is pleasant, well at-least for me. I had brought this same alarm clock like 3 years ago and was trying to find it again online for my boyfriend , and I did thankfully! BTW, the one I have still works after 3 years!! And It runs on two double A’s which is super convenient! Overall it’s just perfect, however it does collect dust on the top but just wipe it with a wet cloth or wipe and it will be fine.

I just bought my second one of these . They take up so little space on the nightstand . Battery operated so no cord . I love the self-adjusting light on the clock face which allows me to see the time in the dark without having to press any buttons . It’s a lovely grey glow light that is not annoying . This could definitely be used as a travel clock as well . Very pleased with this clock .

Cute kids alarm clock. As a clock works nicely. As an alarm clock it kinda sucks. We put it on our 7 year old’s dresser so she would have to get up to turn it off. The alarm only sounds for 60 seconds then SHUTS OFF. Because it’s ascending it doesn’t wake her up from across the room within 60 seconds. And if she doesn’t hit snooze during that 60 seconds it doesn’t go off again. We tried putting it in her bed with her and it’s only effective about half the time. Contacted the seller, this isn’t a defect. Not pleased and would not recommend. I’ve never in my life heard of an alarm clock that shuts off in 60 seconds and doesn’t go off a second time. Especially ineffective for kids and deep sleepers!Update to downgrade to a 1-star review. It no longer accurately works. The alarm goes off at times it isn’t set for and doesn’t go off at all most days. Don’t waste your money.

Only reason I am giving 4 Stars rather than 5 Stars, is not sure how long the outer rubber covering will last, given I am in an area with corrosive air pollution episodes. Hopefully will last several years and/or company will sell replacements. I particularly like that the clock is super-easy to setup and use. To see the time in a dark room, pressing any button gives a nice soft blue light background to the black numerals. The light lasts long enough to read, about 5 seconds, and then goes off. Some people may prefer a bright light that stays on a long time, but I prefer a short, soft light. I find bright lights too jarring at night. Another plus is that the clock uses standard rechargeable batteries. I already have too many power wires for my desktop computer equipment, and wanted a portable battery powered clock that could be moved around independent of power outlets. Overall, the clock is good looking and works well for small spaces.

This product Timelink Smartlight Digital Rubber Outer Shell Alarm Clock is a terrific find. I was looking for a small clock because when I updated our cable converter box they explained that they did away with the clock display. I didn't think anything about it, but realized I did miss the clock. I really had to search to find a small sized clock that had a perfect size LCD display. But the hardest thing to find was a small clock, with a perfect LCD display that was backlit. When it gets dark the clock is green backlit unless you turn off that function.. It also has a button on top to get an even brighter display in blue for 5 seconds. It is rubberized which is a plus when you have a toddler around. The time and alarm settings are easy to adjust. This takes 2 "AA" batteries and does not have an electrical cord which I prefer as outlets are always at a premium. This was the best find and costs way less than most of the other clocks I looked at. A great clock at a great price!

Most intuitive controls of any battery alarm clock I've used. Volume of alarm beep is slightly less than my loudest but still plenty for me even though we have separate white noise machine on in background. Nice bright backlight can be used only when needed by pressing top button. My only complaint is that there is no way to use alarm without the snooze function disabled, but this is common to every battery alarm I've seen. So you have to turn alarm off wi th switch on back of machine to cease the alarm-snooze-alarm-snooze etc. Function. Then remember to turn it back on for the next night. Best price I could find on any alarm of this stylesheet value.

This clock is fine in a bright room. Across the room and in a partially shaded bookcase, there is not enough contrast to read the time. A switch on the back suggests you can get more light, but I found this didn't work during the day (nor on the replacement I got, so maybe not a flaw?). You could press a button to get a backlight on demand, but I wanted something I did not have to walk across the room to read. I returned and am replacing with an LED instead. The clock seems otherwise sturdy, attractive, and well built.
