If I use this machine to seal/cut poly decomesh, do I need to use a mask?

Yes, poly decomesh fumes are toxic. If you are heating it up to shape it or enough to seal the bag it can cause fumes. If it does, it can get into your food. Plastic fumes can be extremely dangerous. I would do some research first friend.

Will this work with Mylar bags?

Dear,you can use it for the Mylar bags,but you need to adjust the temperature about 3 Grade and keep the handle pressed down for 3-3.5 seconds to get seals optimal results.Otherwise the sealing place will be not smooth.Thanks!

can i use this to seal icepops?

YES !!! I use these Impulse Sealers for my business- and I seal probably 2500 Poly Bags per day, and I have 3 sealers! So you will definitely be able to seal the plastic on ice pops- the sealer has a heat setting- it’s a dial that goes from 1 to 9. One being the lowest heat setting, and nine being the highest. I usually leave it on 4, and when you press down to seal items it takes only a couple seconds. When the red light goes off or you hear the sealer turn off then your package will be sealed closed perfectly.
