Basically a stick with roots. They call them trees. They are not. No truth in this advertisement.

Not as pictured
Maple đ bonsai came in a tall tube shaped starter container. As a bonsai I was hopeful it wouldnât be quite as deep- more shallow for later slip planting. It also was a cut and clone type plant- not a starter but a graft instead with a large bulbous graft in the center. A bit disappointed, however, I love Japanese maples whether it be a bonsai or a full sized tree so I will likely use it as a full size as the roots are already long and deep in the 6-8â tall thin and elongated plastic temporary pot. Hope this helps.

Came in leaves dried
But obviously healthy. Grafted and grafted well. Still probably need to take care. Didn't do full research on them so I found they need dormancy, I threw it outside whnn temps started to drop. Hopefully the mild texas winter will allow dormancy otherwise healthy plant
