An excellent addition to almost any M&P Pistol
I have been wanting to try a Red Dot Reflex Sight on one of my M&P pistols without having to take it in to have the slide machined and have it a permanent install if I ended up not liking it. Well this is EXACTLY what I have been looking for and it was very easy to install, adjust and start shooting better with. After a 30 minute install I took the pistol down to my Gun Range and sighted in the variable density Red Dot at 25 yards. I then took it off the rest and shot another 50 rounds at 25 yards and was amazed how well I could keep the shots inside a 4" circle. A purchase well worth every penny. I have since put about 500 rounds through the pistol and it's still holding a great zero.

Doesn't fit the M&P Shield
UPDATE 02APR22 - I ended up having to use a UTG adapter plate to mount this to an M&P Shield. The mount worked great, the sight not so much. - I taught a combat pistol fundamentals class over the weekend and decided to test this sight. Things didn't go well. The dot, even at its brightest isn't bright enough during the day. I was in the California desert and as soon as there was full sunlight the dot was washed out. I ended up switching to a G19 with a Holosun in order to keep the class going. - At the conclusion of class I decided to move into a shaded area and give the sight another try. I found that it shut off frequently. Sometimes after a single shot, sometimes after 2 or 3. The sight was mounted with the rubber shock isolation pad and without. The pad didn't seem to make a difference. I WANTED to like this RDS, but sadly it's just not up to par with a reputable brand.First off, having shot iron sights all my life, I bought this to experiment with a pistol optic. It looks good out of the box, but thats about it... There are zero mounting instructions.First, Replacing the rear sight with the threaded dovetail mount is impossible out of the box. The dovetail mount is made of anodized aluminum and is overly tight. It has to be filed to fit.The sight adapter base isn't cut for an exact fit to the slide. To the contrary it seems to have some universal radius cut into the underside. Once the sight is attached and bolted down, the adapter base tilts back to the point that you can't adjust the elevation on the sight low enough to match point of aim with point of impact. On the M&P shield as well as the M&P9, The slide just behind the rear sight dovetail is slightly lower than the rest of the slide. They're not even all the way across like a Glock. The adapter plate isn't made taking this into account, causing this upward cant. There's a rubber damper included thats supposed to be placed between the sight and mount plate. I tried the sight with and without the damper and I still couldn't get the thing sighted in.The screws are dead soft and I could feel the heads starting to strip as I tightened them. The sight itself seems to be OK. It might even work if mounted directly to the slide. But using the adapter, it's completely useless.Sadly I think filing the dovetail adapter has voided all hope of being able to return. So now I guess I'm stuck with it. Maybe I'll mill the slide it accept the sight by itself and see how it works out. Also, don't be fooled by the American flag on the side of the optic. It's manufactured in the People's Republic of China. So, it's no surprise it doesn't fit right.

Great product without breaking the bank
Pros: Easy install, bright, budget friendly. For the price you can’t get any better. Put it on my SD9VE as a part of my budget build gun. Haven’t been able to get to the range yet; that’ll be the true test on how quickly I can get it to zero and how well it will hold zero.Cons: Took forever to get delivered. May need a shim to to fix the zero (we decide after some range time), instructions weren’t that clear.Definitely will purchase from ADE again

Did NOT Fit My Tisas Zigana PX-9
I bought this sight because it explicitly stated that it would fit my Tisas Zigana PX-9 9 mm pistol. When it arrived, I powered it on and the red dot appeared as expected, and I was able to vary the brightness as the owner's manual stated.I couldn't get the rear iron sight off the pistol, so I took it to my gunsmith and left it with him. He called the next day and said it had been difficult for him to get the iron sight off, but he was able to. The problem was the two part mounting plate didn't fit properly to mount the sight on. The dovetail portion of the mount had significant play, and the main part of the plate didn't seat properly on the gun's slide. There was no way he could secure the mount and the sight properly to the slide.Returned it today, and after a three-way conference call between myself, my gunsmith, and SDS Imports (it's a Turkish gun) to make sure what I was planning to order would work, I ordered a Holosun 407c-x2 and a one piece RMR mount.

Easy to install, looks great
This product with it's additional mount makes installing this a breeze! I put it on a Sd9ve. I know some say it doesn't fit, but it does. The mount is loose untill you tighten the screws down (use the longer screws both F1, F2 mounts and Blue loctite). I havent gotten a chance to use it yet, but I'm excited! Wish there was a way to use iron sights with it, but I don't believe you can have both on a slide. The dot is bright and adjustable in brightness. Screw that lock the windage and elevation.

Great Red Dot for the money
The ADE 5 MOA red dot optic fit well on my S&W 9mm Shield. The instructions were well written. I used the rubber shock plate and secured the sight with the enclosed set screws after removing the original rear sight.Using a 9mm boresight in the barrel, the ADE was easy to adjust at 15 yards. So far, nice product. Be sure to become familiar with the light intensity settings.
