Well Thought Out - Excellent Clutch Cable Kit!!
I was skeptical about ordering a "Universal" clutch cable... But I needed a clutch cable for my brothers 1976 Yamaha DT-400 I am restoring. The factory discontinued making it and I couldn't find an after market clutch cable. So I ordered this Venhill clutch cable kit - And I'm glad I did!!Venhill thought of just about everything a person would need to make a clutch cable!! I took my time and double checked my measurement's before cutting the outside casing and then the cable itself. There are many cable ends, spacers, and even a hollow threaded adjuster, which I used. You'll have pick the right end and know how to solder it on. I used a small container to melt some solder in. fluxed up the end and submerged it in the liquid solder.I installed the clutch cable and it works beautifully!! Nice smooth pull and looks good too!! I am very happy with this kit and will buy it again if needed. Thank You!!

Nice kit.
Great kit to make a custom length clutch cable. Comes with enough pieces to suite most needs. Loses one star because the ferrules crack when crimped...I epoxied mine on after attempting to crimp. Instructions are vague, but a quick YouTube search will get you in the right direction.

High quality kit
Update 11/12/2023:I bought another one of these kits for a Honda XR400R I'm fixing up. I needed a longer clutch cable. These are still excellent kits!I used a 60w soldering iron and it worked perfectly.I sold the previous bike I mention here. The clutch cable worked perfectly the whole time I owned it.Edit: 2/27/17:Kit has been working fine for several thousand miles now. Would recommend!Edit 8/10/16:Wow! Venhill provided great support! They immediately sent me a new kit after I contacted them.Edit 8/2/16:Product failed after 200 miles of riding. The cable end came loose from the wire. The end that failed was the one installed by Venhill, not by me.I've contacted Venhill for a replacement, will update with their response.=============All parts were included and appear to be high quality. It has everything I need to build a longer clutch cable on my 1985 Honda CB450SC Nighthawk. As it mentions in the instructions, it takes a fair amount of mechanical skill to correctly assemble this kit. If you're not good at soldering, don't do this yourself.I still have to solder the nipple in place. Will update after doing this and using it on the road.

More was needed
Don’t think you’ll be able to use this in a pinch. You need soldering equipment for this part.

DIY custom cables
Custom cable making? I'll buy venhill every time. Superior quality. I've reviewed these before. This is my second set of custom cables and they came out freakin (singing the word awesome) awethuume!!!! You do gotta do some youtube schooling but after you will be able to make cables for just about anything. I don't work for venhill.

Love the quality, works well as a brake cable. Would buy again.
I bought two of these, one for the front mechanical drum brake, and one for the clutch on a vintage Ural motorcycle. These were much better quality, in the sense of the Teflon lining and the thicker 7mm casing. The fittings and adapters included were well though out and it worked beautifully for my application. You need to be very mechanically minded to install these. Soldering was no problem, but it’s critical and you might consider using flux to make sure the the soldering is perfect.Would buy again in a heartbeat.

High quality, best choice for custom work
High quality and inexpensive for custom work. After switching out goofy 70s era handlebars, you often have to shorten clutch and throttle cables otherwise they will bind up and feel tight during use which is not safe. Third motorcycle I've done using Venhill products (BMWs and one Honda). A Dremel with cutoff wheel/grinder works great to cleanly cut wire and cable housing. Don't use a hacksaw. Opt for the Venhill solderless barrels if you don't want to solder the nipples to the wire. I prefer solderless barrels because it's really easy to repair and lubricate which is critical if you get stuck out on the road. Ferrule clamp tool can be had for cheap at Harbor Fr. - or use a punch, don't crimp them with pliers; auto stores may have clamp tool to rent.Only negative is the ferrules. These are the brass tips that fit at end of the cable and don't fit into the top of the provided mount bolt despite heating up the bolt and freezing the ferrule (or using a press). I ground off tiny bit of material from outside the ferrule and hammered the bolt, threaded side up to the male-end of the ferrule (use wood blocks to protect ferrule). When hammering the bolt, the ferrule will sink slightly into the wood block and will keep it from being damaged. A press will work but you must have or make a special die to keep the ferrule from being damaged while pressing it into the bolt. Anyway, great product.

No satisfied at all!!!
I disliked the fact it was not as shown in the picture. So misrepresentation of product. The bag that was from the manufacture was split and all parts were not there. I should have honestly just shipped it back directly but I just went and bought some more parts to make it work I needed my bike for transportation period. If I would have received all the parts it would have been an easy install.
