Good knife for the money.
The fit and finish of this knife and sheath are excellent. It all goes together well. My only issues are: There are no marking on the knife for type of steel; and country of origin. This knife has not been field tested; otherwise an excellent value.

Comfortable to wear!
The knife came very sharp. All in all, a very nicely put together knife and sheath package! I would buy it again.

A good knife with a mediocre sheath!
A good knife with a great steel and a mediocre sheath. This blade is slightly diminished by this mediocre sheath. I wouldn't or couldn't rely on the sheath in keeping this blade secure during serious field assignments. Unless someone is just a novice on a hike and wanting to have a good knife. I was expecting great. The sheath should have a better lining for this type of metal and it really requires another strap to keep the knife in place. There is only one which is a detriment. I cannot with confidence wear this knife molle with the blade up & the handle down. You'd lose the knife at some point. Beautiful knife with a a decent handle & scales. The blade is awesome but the J. & V. lettering next to the howling Wolf logo looks really dumb & cheesy. Who cares about the company owners initials?!!? It takes away from the true Wolf logo. The plastic loops on the sheath for a leg strap or molle carry looks & feels very cheap.I can't say it enough- the sheath needs more than just one strap & clasp to secure the knife. The blade is heavy but in a good way.. The belt loop is decent but the knife will definitely flop around while you're in motion. The heavy nylon canvas like sheath material feels cool but its a concern that their is no ballistic plastic lining or insert for the blade to slide into.In my opinion the sheath makes about 30% of the desirability of any knife and this particular sheath may look cool but it's not secure enough for such a blade.I don't recommend or discourage anyone wanting this knife but for my tactical purpose this wouldn't work. Unless I replace the sheath. The handle feels really good but it has a slip to its grip. I do like the feel & length though because my hands are large

Good knife
Upon arrival I had to put it on my leather strop. Way to many burs.. perfect after a good polish. It needs a better insert in the sheath. The knife moves to much in the sheath. Feels like a great knife
