The Dangers of a Shallow Faith: Awakening from Spiritual Lethargy Paperback – May 17, 2012

This is a very important book to all who call themselves Christians. It is an eye-opener in many instances and also a basis to strengthen our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This is a great book by Tozer and one that should be reread to really grasp the relevance of his teaching. Great book!

I just finished this book and feel like I need to read it again. What a blessing it is! SO rich and so convicting. I highlighted nearly every paragraph on every page. 10/10 recommend.

Tozer takes on many of the deeper issues that plague the followers of Jesus yesterday and today. He rights in a language that cuts directly to the heart of the struggle that infects His church and children. This book is a good thought provoking book that will challenge the heart.

A.W. Tozer has such a wonderful gift of delivering that wake-up call with a mixture of concern and warning , not for the Church, or the church leaders as I first thought, but for you and me, the people of God who make up our churches. Some have said he had prophetic powers; all I know is that this book seemed to predict the spiritual crises facing us today with startling precision.

This book really hit home on the dangers of a shallow faith and many sections spoke to me personally in my Christian walk. Edited by James Snyder to add some modern day thoughts, since Tozer passed away in 1963, it is well organized chapter by chapter, touching on things such as lethargy in reading the Bible and praying, as well the push/pull from the world, getting too busy for God, but not waiting on Him.This is not a ear-tickling book and makes you look at how your Christian faith and walk are going.

The author has a masterful was of taking such deep topics and explaining them in an easy to comprehend format. The words and thoughts are heavy, but pleasant to digest as you navigate the pages.
