Transformative for Crohn’s Survivors
This book resonated with me on a multitude of levels. It is written is such a way that you not only relate to the author, due to sharing the same disease process, and many of the same medical adventures that accompany it, but also on a hopeful, and empowering level. Learning that lifestyle changes can ultimately lead to successful remission brings enthusiasm, hope, and positivity! An easy, and enjoyable read as well... I STRONGLY recommend this book, as well as implementing “my simple changes”.

Fantastic!
Wow...I am in awe! Brandon has shown such courage and strength throughout his battle with severe health issues. Yet, he finds a way to keep a sense of humor, and gratitude. Thank you for writing this book to help others.I have family members and friends suffering from similar problems and this book has been a huge help! Lists of foods to avoid, recipes, help with inflammation-healing foods, anxiety, exercise and much more. I used my highlighter as I read because there is so much information. I am ready to begin with "my simple changes"! Stay willing

Helpful insight for those who have friend or family member with Crohn's disease
While this book was intended for people struggling with autoimmune disorders, I found it to be especially helpful for people who are hoping to have a better understanding of what someone in their life, with Crohn's, is going through. Warning: the author doesn't sugarcoat the complications of an autoimmune disorder, so be prepared to get into the nitty gritty of it. But that upfront realism is powerful as you begin to understand and properly support a friend or family member who may be suffering in silence. Near the end of the book, the author guides readers through ways to begin healing their bodies without the use of medications. Admittedly, some of it didn't apply to me so I did skim a bit. But that is the great thing about this book- take what you need and pass it along.

Must read even if you don’t have an autoimmune disease
This is a really interesting read. It isn’t just about autoimmune disease. It’s applicable beyond individuals with Crohn’s and contains excellent tips for anyone interested in feeling better and living better. It tells an amazing journey but also becomes a great reference and resource. Worth the purchase.

Too Expense for Content But........
Firstly, this is a quick and relatable read if you have or know someone with Crohn's Disease. It is a nice guide of what not to do for those newly diagnosed with IBD: do not drink heavily and eat crap food if you have IBD. It seems like the author follows AIP in many ways, after changing his diet. It is a positive read in many ways because the author does learn and change his ways obvious by the title. It gives hope as well because he proves diet and lifestyle is very important to heal from IBD. My biggest complaint is price. It should not cost more than 10 dollars, especially for the kindle version, and this is being generous. It is a short book and the writing is disjointed in many ways. It really does not offer anymore more than his story. If you have had Crohn's Disease for any length of time and have done research, it is a familiar story. However, it may be beneficial for folks that have still been eating the American Standard Diet of crap without making any diet or lifestyle changes and are still suffering and/or newly diagnosed Crohn's patients. I highly suggest anyone with IBD do extensive research on autoimmune diets and do not believe doctor's when they say you may eat whatever you want, that diet does not matter. It is completely false. Good luck and healing prayers to all IBD sufferers.

Informative and easy read!
The author makes a lot of sense by using science, common sense, and easy-to-understand language to help people through a difficult disease. This book is fantastic and I'm very glad to read not just how little changes can help, but what changes are truly beneficial.

This is more of a story and not exactly a structured plan
It's a good book. Don't get me wrong, but it's not what I was seeking. I was hoping for a more structured outline of what worked and why (maybe more studies cited, etc). I didn't realize it was more of a narrative, but now, it's too late to get a refund.
