Brain Quest Workbook: Grade 5 Paperback – May 5, 2015

We are a homeschool family and love the Brain Quest books as a supplement to use with our currículum. During summers we use BrainQuest books as a summer bridge course. It covers educational standards necessary for the school year. And helps our family stay on top and not forget all they’ve learned throughout the year. They enjoy the Brainquest cards and I’ve usually bought the BrainQuest and cards as a package. Didn’t realize it’s sold separately so we were sad to find that only the book arrived. But nonetheless, it’s a great educational resource.(Since, my kid is not yet proficient in spelling I am loving that this workbook includes the spelling vocabulary, LA, reading, and writing. Very illustrative, explanatory book, it explains very well, it is very complete in all subjects, the children are encouraged when studying

We've been on the brain quest train for years now and we all over these books. Nice addition to any curriculum. Keep it up!

We are a big fan of Brian Quest Workbooks. This workbook includes various subject matters that 5th grader that are supposed to understand. The book provided brief explanation on each subject matter and include related exercises for the kids to refresh their memory. The length of each topic is about right and it is easy to understand. The only problem of the book is that the pages cannot be peeled off properly. There are a few situations that passages are printed on the back of one page and the questions are printed on the front of another page, therefore, I cannot peel the pages out because I might lose the passage on the back. I feel that is somehow inconvenient. If they can put the passage and questions on one single page, that would work much better.

I'm so glad I found these work books! They have made mine and my kids lives so much easier when it comes to their homeschooling. Each subject organized and explained in detail for parent and student to understand. I WILL be buying more.

Love these books! I started using a different all in one curriculum and switched to this. These are great! I use for 3rd and 5th grades. They do need some supplementation so we do other assignments in combination with this. But these are our main source of schoolwork. Each lesson builds so you can go in order through each subject, and it covers a variety of material so it's sufficient. The book is rather thin so we do one page from each subject and I try to correlate relative assignments or discussion with some of them. Each has a "brain box" which is VERY useful! This is like the teacher instruction. It gives a great explanation of how to do the work and then gives an example including a breakdown of the example given. These are incredibly helpful for ME because I often need a review and this gives me everything I need to teach the lesson to my kids. Sometimes they don't understand the brain box and require me to paraphrase in a way they need. I LOVE the brain boxes. I'm so glad we got these books, were having a great year and a great time with these, and most importantly I know educationally my children are right where they need to be, and are caught up from a lack of education during our previous "virtual" school through the district. They are learning more this way in a shorter time. I was nervous to homeschool, afraid they wouldn't get the education they need, but we are all doing well and enjoying our time together in the process. It's a win win.

It's a great book to help with your homeschooling child. It covers all of the areas they need. The pages are big too.
