The kid loves it
All I can say is it must be FANTASTIC because the surly teenage boy has not deemed it as trash.

I love this light up mouse pad it goes perfectly with my Omen
Using the Omen software you can make the mouse pad light up in different ways it's pretty cool. Not to mention it also charges my mouse, which is fantastic. I never have to USB charge another mouse for the rest of my gaming life... At least on this laptop

Awesome mousepad
This is an excellent accessory for anyone who has as HP Omen computer -- or for anyone, really. The Omen control software does a great job, and having the charging pad on it is a great help.

Your Computer Needs a USB-C Port for "FULL" Functionality! Added a Work Around for no USB-C Port
First, I like to say the mousepad is MUCH bigger than I expected, I was surprised at the size of the mousepad. I am not a PC gamer and bought the mousepad purely for aesthetics, to go with my older OMEN laptop so the size is probably very useful for gamers but it is ALMOST the size of four regular square mousepads. It takes up a lot of space on my writer's desk with my laptop. I thought, not a big deal still excited to use it. Then, I realized it has a USB-C cord attached and my computer does not have a USB-C port. Then I said, no worries it came with an adapter.I watched a review to figure out how to change the colors of the OMEN logo (HP is really bad about including full and DETAILED instructions) the video, although nice, was not helpful. The only thing I realized from the video is that the there should be lighting around the edge of the mousepad and mine wasn't on. I found another video that instructed me I needed to download the OMEN Command Center to control the lighting and it was available in the Microsoft Store. After downloading the Command center the Zone 2 lighting was still not working. After researching it was explained that unless you have a USB-C port on your computer it will not work. That was very disappointing to find out. I do a lot of upgrading on my computer and my OMEN works like a pro and I won't buy a whole new computer just to have an USB-C port. And the adapter is a nice touch but if plugging in the adapter doesn't give the mousepad full functionality then what's the use?So, wanted to update that tonight I decided to randomly try something. Because the mouse pad requires USB-C for power I thought, what if I tried my USB-C power adapter for my Samsung phone (came with my Samsung Note 20 Ultra at 25W)? And it worked. Because it's not connected directly to the computer the USB port located on the outpost mouse pad won't work for USB dongles, I mean it will of course power them but since the outpost isn't connected directly to the computer, the USB port would not be either. I don't need that functionality since I am using a docking station anyway. So, if you want the edge lighting to work just use a USB-C adapter, sometimes called power adapter type-c. I don't know the outpost power requirements (I tried to find them for you but couldn't get more than the QI charging - charges at 5W) so, try at your own risk, but again, I'm getting beautiful edge lighting and that makes me happy! :)

Great feel. The wireless charging stinks.
Love the feel of the slide the mouse has on the pad. I hate trying to charge the mouse. You must put it in a certain spot on the top for it to charge. For some reason I thought I bout a pad that charges the mouse if the mouse is laying anywhere on the pad. I was wrong. This is old school wireless charging for mice.

Only one complaint ... Otherwise a Decent Pad
So my ONLY complaint about this otherwise awesome mouse pad is the description. In the description (at least at the time I write this review), one of the bullet points is "Qi wireless charging - Charge your wireless gaming mouse and Qi-enabled devices such as smartphones while you play" The key words I read there, and let's see if others think the same, was the "While you play". So here I am thinking, "Oh wow, so this pad can keep my wireless mouse charged while I play! Awesome!" So I ordered this as a bundle with the HP Omen mouse, which has yet to be shipped (thanks, COVID), excited that I can finally ditch the cord and game for long bits of time without having to worry about the mouse dying in the middle of a tense gaming moment.Unfortunately, when I unboxed the pad, I found that this mouse pad only has a small charging spot for devices, with room enough for one device to sit on. It does work. My phone is charging on it as we speak. But my hopes of having an actual pad surface that keeps a mouse charged DURING gaming again went up in smoke. So I am now back to knowing there are no pads like that out there.Still, thinking this was the first pad that could do that, I bought it, and I am still somewhat okay with the purchase. While my main purpose was the expectations I ranted about above, the pad itself IS a very nice pad to have. It's HUGE, so do NOT expect this to be a portable hard surface you can pack with your laptop and take with you. You will NOT be doing that. But for at home on a desk or table, this pad provides a large, nice surface to play on. It also lights up nicely and with the HP Omen software can be customized on the lighting.I do have to point out that if you do not have the matching wireless mouse to go with this pad, and end up using a corded mouse, the cord WILL catch on a device you might have charging while you are moving the mouse around. So the wireless charge spot is only useful if you use this with a wireless mouse. I will not be wireless until Amazon ships the mouse I ordered with this.Would I recommend this pad? YES! I actually would. I just wanted to write this review to let readers know in detail NOT to expect a surface that charges your wireless mouse "while you play", as the description leads you to believe.Cheers.

Paperweight with no support after a year
There's 0 support for the Outpost. The product number, serial umber, nada. It died on me the other day after 14 months. Just outside of warranty if I could even register the product which I cant because it doesnt recognize any number on the device. Disappointed. I liked the wireless charging feature. No idea what happened cause it looks fine.
