I stopped purchasing L’Occitane products a while ago because, although their scents are distinct, subtle, and beautiful, most of their products (foot cream, hand cream with anti-aging benefits, body lotion, body wash with infused oil, etc.) didn’t deeply nourish my skin. I don’t fault the products—it’s probably just a sign of me getting older.That said, I wasn’t very hopeful about this small shea butter balm, but it pleasantly surprised me! Its natural ingredients are gentle on my sensitive lips and provide excellent nourishment for my hair during colder months. It works effectively to keep everything hydrated, and I will definitely repurchase it in the future!

This is the original L'Occitane shea butter. No scent, no additives, just solid shea butter. It's perfect for everyone. From my personal experience: it heals chapped skin, helps burns heal quicker with less scarring, soothes dry hands and heels. I'm told folks use it in their hair to moisturize, though I've never tried it. L'Occitane has consistently been the best brand of all that I've tried. Expensive on first look, but a tin lasts forever so it's certainly worth the price.

This is a great lip product but that's not why I always have one in the house.When I get a cold, the skin around my nose gets really raw and irritated from blowing it on tissues, even when I use the lotion-infused tissues. Most lotions and creams sting or burn when I apply them to the irritated skin around my nostrils. This is the ONLY product I've found that can soothe that delicate skin. It makes one of the really uncomfortable parts of having a bad cold bearable... and, again, is the ONLY product I've found that does this.

My lips are sensitive to beeswax and fragrance. I've had a really tough time finding something that can keep my lips moisturized without irritation, and that doesn't feel icky. This is perfect. The consistency feels great on my lips and it's not too greasy or thick. It also doesn't irritate my eczema prone skin.

I’ve been fighting some very dry skin on my fingers—the kind where your skin finally splits, and bandages don’t work, and the so-called liquid bandage turns out to be useless. This does work. I should be happy that something finally did the trick, but I feel like a sucker for having spent that much on a tin the approximate size of a quarter when Vaseline might have done as well. Oh well.

If you have excruciating dry skin as I do this is for you. The best moisturizer I’ve ever tried…and that includes products from 6 continents and at every price. I couldn’t write a more glowing review! Neutral sent. Thick when put on. But absorbed quickly to a non greasy feel. Lasts well. Try it.
