Great little sub!
Received my Earthquake Sound MiniMe DSP P-10 last week. Set it up using the analog controls for now. I’m blown away with the amount of tight low end I’m getting from this little 10” sub. Hard to believe it’s only 10 inches. After meticulously adjusting the gain, and crossover, I’m getting a perfect blend with my main speaker’s without a hint of boomy sound! This sub is powerful for its size. I’m using it in a room measuring 20X24 feet! I’m sitting about 12 feet from my sound system, and the sub is only about a quarter of the way up in volume, and I’m thinking of lowering one to two ticks - it’s that potent!Earthquake has been in business some 40 years, and they have done their homework! Let me give you a bit of history about myself. In the late 60’s to the later 70’s I worked at Jensen Sound Labs. They were responsible for making the bass reflex enclosure popular. They didn’t invent the bass reflex design, however It became popular after a white paper was published on one such design by James Novak, head engineer at Jensen Sound Labs. I knew him well. It went on to be one of the most popular enclosure designs ever engineered, and is used in many speakers to this day. Many manufacturers have implemented the bass reflex design , and improved it using different techniques.Earthquake decided to use a passive radiator instead of a port in a very unique way. It’s not your standard passive radiator. It’s called SLAPS technology, which guarantees symmetrical compliance and reduces harmonic distortion while doubling the sound pressure level, not to mention zero port noise!Additionally, their amplifiers employ a unique feedback design that controls distortion and clipping, guaranteeing top-quality performance. The DSP, and room calibration feature’s are another animal, which I’ve not yet delved into. Earthquake has probably the best customer support I’ve seen from an audio company. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with Joseph Sahyoun, the president of Earthquake Sound. Let me tell you this man is absolutely passionate about Earthquake Sound! Coming from a background of Speaker design, Joe knows his stuff, and will explain it to you in great detail! Can’t say enough about their support. Not to mention, they are using top quality components in their subs. From the specially treated foam surrounds, to very high quality Rubicon Electrolytic capacitors in their amplifiers, I see nothing second rate. All this technology is wrapped up in a gorgeous piano lacquer mirror finish - and yes…they even supply white gloves! If you’re thinking of buying a compact, great little subwoofer, just do it. I’m in no way affiliated with Earthquake. These are purely my opinions. Can’t think of a better subwoofer in this size range for the price, and that price is worth every penny!

Whats with this price??
Can somebody explain too me how a single 10in sub in a small box is worth $1000?? I don't care what kind of amp or sub this is, it's not work that money even at retail. Do not buy these... what are they trying to do make a 400% profit.

SVS who???
Was looking for subwoofers to replace my crappy klipsch 12 inch and I watched a few YouTube videos from popular home subwoofers. I watched a few svs reviews since it seems like most people talk about them all the time and I went ahead and even demoed a few of their subwoofers at a local Best Buy. To be honest, I was not impressed with how they sounded. Then I came across an earthquake review and this subwoofer instantly caught my eye. I went ahead and purchased two mini me dsp10s since I was impressed with the eq and the appp that you can use on your phone to calibrate. I did not pay a lot since the speakers were cheaper and I also bought a used one which was basically in new condition when I got it delivered. I went ahead and plugged them in and was blown away right away! I was so impressed that I made the decision to purchase two more for my home theater and I am now an earthquake fan. To anyone looking for first time subwoofers, don’t just go with the hype, test out all the other different brands out there.

Earthquake is trying to copy sunfire subs.
But its not as good as sunfire subs are. Go with the original

A " hidden gem " if you have realistic expectations.
Earthquake is a little known brand in the home theater world. Done the surround thing but was not for me. I use this in a stereo system where music comes first. My system is an Emotiva PT 100 tuner/preamp, Samson active crossover and a Crown XLi 1500 for the bookshelf speakers ( soon to be upgraded ). It took a little time to get dialed in, much like any sub. I use the iWoofer Pro app to control it. It also has a remote for the volume which is not mentioned. Does what any good sub will do. Which is extend the bottom end, nothing more. If overdone car audio bass is what you want look elsewhere. Overall very pleased with it.

This thing is awewome
I have a sunfire, (2) svs4000, (2) svs3000. Non of them are ported. And now I have this earthquake in the main room. The room is about 25WX30DX17H. This little 10inch sub fills the room with ease. For the price this is great value. Two thumbs up so far.

Good sub but overpriced.
For the price the performance isn’t up to par. This sub would be great if it was about 400$.
