They do not strike any where they are like old school paper matches

it has been a while. but, i was satisfied with the quantity. they burned too quickly for my taste, though.

Q: Does the match need to stay up straight to burn completely or once its blown out I can toss it into a jar or on a plate to finish smoldering?

I personally would recommend propping up the match somewhat to allow the match to burn to the end. Better airflow will allow for better burning and fragrance. In my experience, simply tossing the match into a jar would more often than not, extinguish the smoldering match prematurely. Thanks! Soul Niche.
