My old blenders are headed to Goodwill
I purchased the blender from TYCS and experienced no issues in the delivery, but was very surprised to receive a package from Sam’s Club with my name on the receipt as if I’d made the purchase at the store. TYCS is not affiliated with Sam’s. Well, I guess I had one issue with the delivery… the date kept moving. Fortunately, it arrived on the earliest date given. The Blendtec is AMAZING! We’ve made several smoothies, nut butters and batches of hummus with no issues. The recipes in the book are delicious, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised as to the numerous web sites offering smoothie recipes. The blender pulverizes fruits and veggies into a frothy, rich smoothie in a matter of seconds. A little experimentation with the amount of added water will help determine if you prefer a more or less foamy smoothie. Nothing has become caught in the blades so far. Cleaning is a breeze, which is accomplished by adding water and soap and pulsing for 10 seconds. Additional cleaning to the jar is easy with the large jar and the dull blades. This appliance is perfect for those people wanting a great multipurpose device to help them make fresh dishes especially smoothies. Who knew that red cabbage or broccoli could be so delicious in a smoothie?!The only drawback is it IS LOUD. Quite LOUD. I expect that from a high powered appliance and from reading the reviews. You will wake people in your house if you use this during the wee hours of the morning. Fortunately, it works efficiently and quickly, so it’s only loud for a matter of seconds. Another drawback is the black feet do mark up my grey counters a bit. This was remedied by putting a matt under it and holding it while it runs. Again, it doesn't run that long, so not a big deal.We did a lot of research between Blendtec and Vitamix. The dull blades and larger jar won us over. We’re very happy with our purchase!

Powerful, quiet unit. Does everything a family needs it to do.
My wife and I are vegan, so we use our blender all the time. We’ve always had this certain blender for years, always upgraded to a newer model. [we won’t mention any brands] but they were always noisy and hard to get the contents out of the containers because of it’s weird shape. Even their small container was difficult. We had a Blendtec years ago, but thought we’d go with the other brand because everyone was using it. Well needless to say we finally tired of it when we saw this one on Amazon. It had great reviews, so we bought this one. It’s everything the specs says it is, awesome. It comes with a large container and a smaller one. My wife loves to try new vegan recipes, so the blender is always her go to gadget. She uses the smaller container mostly because it’s just us two she cooks for. We make our own nut and oat milk and this Blendtec blends them with ease. And the most important thing I like is that its much quieter than the previous blender. The shape of the containers makes it easy to get ALL the contents out, unlike the other brand I won’t mention. My wife makes me vegan ice cream everyday [I love ice cream] and this blender makes it better than any store bought crap. And we get every drop of that great ice-cream out of the container. Unlike the other brands container. This Blendtec is the perfect home use blender on the market, we’re in our sixties so we know what we like. It’ll make any sauces, dressings, gravies with ease. She even makes her own flour out of her grains she likes to use. I have yet to hear her complain about this blender yet. She loves this blender, and that says allot. I don’t think there was a day we didn’t complain about the other brand. This one will be with us for a very long time. Super powerful and super quiet. Now like I always say, read the specs before buying. This may or may not be what your looking for, but for us who uses this everyday, doing everyday recipes, this Blendtec works fantastic. We highly recommend it to be part of your kitchen.

Don’t- Inferior performance on the simplest things
I’m not impressed. Even loaded as instructed (liquid, soft to heaviest) it doesn’t blend things up as advertised, just making a simple smoothie takes forever, requires multiple stops and endless tampering which the fancy canister is supposed to reduce. Need to add way too much liquid to get it blended and takes so long that smoothies come out too “liquidy” and no longer frozen. I guess if you don’t use frozen fruit it may blend better but talk about defeating the purpose, you can muddle fresh fruit for goodness sake.Sounds like a jet engine, rattles also, way too loud to use in the morning with my husband asleep after his shift. Doesn’t really matter though because the 10 yr old magic bullet is way more efficient time wise, it blends better, faster, with less liquid so it produces a nice thick COLD smoothie that remains cold and thick through work commute and settling in to my work day.Attempts at sauces in the smaller container with the twist lid were less than impressive as well. Chick peas remained whole while making hummus ( which by the way ended up heated because it took so long to blend ), peanut butter remained clumped not incorporated, really just inferior output for the cost of the machine. Pretty disappointed. It did however make an outstanding frozen margarita, of course it only had to blend ice.Save yourself frustration and go top dollar to a Vitamix or lower to the Ninja.
