I like that the bags are very roomy, and easily fit all sorts of trashcans without having to stretch.I like that they're not transparent so you can't see what's in it (yuckiness).Especially important, when I place the full bags in the hallway, temporarily, while I do a turnover for my rental when guests leave and new guests arrive.My view is the ocean.Weekly I pick up trash at the beach, and see little plastic pieces coming out of the ocean.I like the notion that this plastic is recycled plastic OCEAN plastic.I see with my own eyes what lands in the ocean and comes out all the time.The quality of these bags is very high. Higher than the expensive bags available from the well-known brands.

Okay, for starters, we have been using the 33 gallon black bags for years and it has gotten incredibly hard to get them where they don't smell like they have added fragrance even if supposedly unscented. These were picked out during a research rabbit hole on American made, and these are in fact Made in the USA and have ZERO smell. They are smaller than the giant bags we had been using, but that is actually a plus in my book because it is less plastic and the cats aren't ripping holes in the part hanging over the trash cans by their litter boxes. They also have handles that make it easier to tie off than the flaps that often got drug down into the kitchen trashcan. As far as strength, I can't really say. The hefty ones we used to use lost our trust so we quit carrying the bag itself through the house and carry the whole trash can. They might be clear but they seem to be intact after dumping into the outside trash cans and we haven't had one leak yet which used to be a common occurance. I do like the idea of them being eco friendly but haven't researched that aspect yet. They are well worth it even without that.

I love Hippo Sak bags; they're nearly odorless!--They're hard to tear.--I've even used them for last minute gift box wrapping because they're tough and opaque enough to look nice if you add ribbon or fun images with markers!--They're made in USA using 20% recycled ocean bound plastic. Even little things may help!--Hippo Sak doesn't stink!!!--Even brands claiming to be unscented often stink! When something smells like a laundry detergent spills on aisle seven, it means undisclosed added chemicals or contamination! It makes me wonder: Is it safe for kids/adults/pets to smell/breathe/touch? Will it add volatile organic compounds to indoor and outdoor air? Can scent ingredients in landfills contaminate water via seepage and run-off? Caveat emptor!At this time, Hippo Sak is the best bag I've found and Amazon carries several Hippo Sak products! Yay!

I've been using these trash bags for about 3 years now, and I will keep using them until they stop making them. They're super thick and strong - I've never once had one leak - and they fit a standard kitchen garbage bin perfectly. The opening grips the top of the bin just right; it's not difficult to stretch over the top, yet it doesn't slide down into the bin either. Very puncture resistant as well. Can't recommend these highly enough; orders of magnitude better than even the best brand-name bags available in big box stores. A+++

I love the handles on these bags. The gray color does not bother me and they are not very transparent so that’s fine. They are a good size and hold a lot and are quite sturdy BUT when you open one up… they smell like a kitchen sponge that needs to be thrown away! The odor must be from the manufacturing process but now I keep them in the garage and rip one off, open it and air it out until I need another one. Even then, I still have to spray the bag with air freshener once it’s in the trash can and have to make sure I close the lid. I like everything else about these bags except the smell and now I have to go through 90 of them!!!

Strong and sturdy, nice large size, easy to tie off the top, and feel good about supporting the environment, a good value for the money!
