Works great and over time will produce a lot of savings on caulk.

The media could not be loaded. I run a handyman business, and I do a little of everything. I use construction adhesive to glue masonry, wooden building materials, and sometimes glue tile back on. I caulk before painting, and sometimes without painting in kitchens and baths, and silicone all kinds of things. And sometimes I use driveway self-leveling seam sealer, mortar caulk and roof patch black silicone. So, needless to say, i run about 10-12 different tubes of stuff on any given job, but may only use a partial tube, and then not again for a month. Well to keep from wasting money buying a new tube of whatever every time I have a job, I try to cap my 10 oz tubes. I’ve tried dozens of different caps over the years, and I’ve tried a few new styles here in the past year or so, and nothing works like the Homax Caulkeeper. I currently have them in my silicone tubes (white and clear) and I haven’t used the white silicone in probably 2 months, and I pulled the Caulkeeper cap off this past week when repairing some exterior door trim, and squeezed a bead of silicone just as though I had just opened the tube fresh. If you know silicone, then you know just a little bit of air leakage will cause a tube to set up and harden even overnight. I have yet to have a tube of silicone or construction adhesive harden on me using these Caulkeeper caps, even after 2 months of not using the tube. Look, they are plastic, so after a couple years, they will probably become brittle and crack and need to be replaced. But they have saved me probably $150-$200 in just the past year in not having to buy new tubes for every job. And nobody carries these locally, so i just bought 4-2packs just so i have extra on hand. Buy these, you won’t regret it. And if they are cracked, buy a new pack, they aren’t expensive, but silicone is! And note: the ones they send are different (and WAY better) than the ones in the listing photo. They are the ones in my photo, and they are the best, because you can cut the tip relatively small and still fit the plunger into the inside of your tube. And the outside cone slides further down onto the caulk tube and seals out air better. These are literally the best!!!

I have always been annoyed at how my silicone dries out. This product seems to work well so time will tell if it really does the job.

I have used these a couple times now and they have kept my caulk from drying out. I plan on purchasing more.

I’m able to use this as described and met my expectations. Only draw back is that it’s difficult to remove the cap from the packaging when you are in the middle of the job. So, keep it handy prior to start working on the job.

Used on black silicone caulk. Finished 1st part of job. Sealed until today to finish up. Still had about a third of a tube. Did not seal. Disappointed because it was expensive. Not available in small tubes.
