Great Taste
Love the Gustus Vitae sea salts. I have tried many flavors and they are all great. My daughter and her husband have tasted them and requested some as gifts.

More green tea than salt?
I'd tried a matcha salt at a Japanese restaurant and found it was delicious. This was the only one I could find on Amazon. It has a strong grean tea smell and it's very powdery. I was hoping it would be like the restaurant's, which was grainy, like salt.I've only tasted it by itself, not on food, yet. The green tea taste is overpowering, for me.

Delicious
I love gourmet salts and this is one of my favorites. I will be buying more of this company's herbs and seasonings. The magnetic bottom is a convenience.

Matcha tea salt
Only a pinch is needed to enhance the natural flavor. More than a pinch will over salt your food. A little goes a long way.

Not the right texture
Nicely packaged in a nice shakable tin. Unfortunately the salt mixture isn't right. The matcha is of a powdery consistency as they should, but the salt is of a much bigger granular. They don't mix. The salt needs to be of a much finer consistency for it to meld well with the matcha so that both flavors can come through at the same time. That's the way Japanese matcha salt feels and tastes. Bottom line: nice try, but needs improvements. Cannot recommend at this point in time.

A little goes a long way
I wasn’t sure about this but somebody mentioned using it and I thought I’d give it a try. It definitely has the salty taste I crave on my foods and it only takes a tiny bit to do the job. It doesn’t have any after taste that I can detect. I haven’t used it in cooking yet so I don’t know how that will turn out but I’m hopeful. The container is cute and I can see that this would be a great little hostess gift or a stocking gift for the “foodie” friend or family member.

Healthy Salt Substitute
Very tasty. Excellent salt substitute for my husband who cannot have too much sodium due to heart issues.
