Check your reverb pan before buying a new vacuum tube to drive the reverb
I thought with the infrequent use of this particular amp that I have (of 5 that I own), that it would surely be the vacuum tube that is used to drive the Reverb in my amp. I knew that I would keep this amp a long time, so I bought a rare NOS vacuum tube, received it, installed it, and...the Reverb still did not work. A new replacement reverb pan was about half of what I spent on the NOS tube, so I bought this new Reverb pan. "Bingo"...it was in fact a bad Reverb pan that must have exceeded its expected lifespan. Can't figure it out. So...I pulled that NOS tube and replaced it with the original tube, and will run that until it dies someday. Then I'll install the NOS tube for a much longer life. There Reverb pan was delivered to me in half the time stated in my Amazon receipt which was nice.

Good price, sounds a little tinny
Replaced tank on a '65 Twin Reverb reissue. Works but lacks warmth.

Didn’t work for me
This is not a review of Amplified Parts who sold the tank and is an excellent retailer! As far as the Belton tank itself, it wasn’t usable for my application. It was a replacement for my fender 65 Princeton reissue. If you have one of these, you know that the reverb is very present and can overwhelm the sound. I typically replace the reverb driver tube with a 12AU7. The amp comes stock with a US made Belton tank from the late 2000s. Probably the last year Belton made their tanks in Chicago before moving production to Korea. The current production tank feels cheap, the metals used seem like “pot metal,” not substantial, lacking integrity. I question reliability if stressed. The sound was uncontrollable and harsh. It seemed like the tank wasn’t working properly, but I think that’s the way it was supposed to sound. Nothing like the better tanks available from MOD or Mojotone. I was hoping it would sound like the previous tank but no such luck. The equivalent Mojotone with a medium decay tank was a good fit for me. Fortunately these aren’t too expensive and you can try a few. Unless the prices skyrocket because of the stupid tariffs. 🙄

Authentical sound
I used this to match the Fender standalone tones. It did better than expected!

Belton vs Accutronics
These are the tanks for many old Fender tube amps where the pan is mounted on the bottom of your combo cabinet.Be aware that you’ll see Belton for sale, and Accutronics for sale... the are the same pan! Accutronics is priced about $7-10 more, but you’ll get the same product. The tag says “Accutronics, made by Belton”. Whichever you buy, you’ll get the same. Might want to go with the identical product for less money.
