Perfect buy
Works great. Got these to replace the old batteries out of my Milwaukee drill driver that my grandpa gave me. So glad to have this tool working again.

Batteries resurrect favorite screwdrivers.
Two of my favorite Milwaukee electric screwdrivers are back in action due to these two batteries. They are quick charging, overload protected, and relatively inexpensive.

Finally A Perfect Replacement For The OEM Milwaukee Battery
I have been using various models of the Milwaukee 2.4 cordless screwdrivers since 1988. Yes that is 27 years! This screwdriver was light years ahead of its time in the late 1980's when I was using a single speed version sold under the AEG brand name. Sometime in the mid-1990s Milwaukee licensed the design and began to make two speed versions. As near as I can figure, the tools that use these batteries are still the best lightweight cordless screwdrivers on the market. They are ideal for precision work required for small electronics repair, as well as for light manufacturing of electronic assemblies. If you carefully read the reviews here on amazon, you will see numerous stories from the field about how great these tools are.I own three of these cordless screwdrivers and I have been in search of compatible batteries for several years. I eagerly bought up some of the nickel metal hydride (NiMH) versions of this battery and learned the hard way that the nickel cadmium (NiCd) chargers that come with the cordless screwdrivers are not compatible with the NiMH chemistry. The OEM NiCd charger will destroy a NiMH battery in about 30 minutes due to severe overheating. A NiMH battery needs to be charged in a battery charger designed for that battery chemistry.I spend quite a bit of time and money trying to make NiMH versions of this battery work and even bought an OEM charger from Panasonic that was designed to charge 2.4v NiMH batteries. This was a complete waste of time when I discovered that the Panasonic charger would refuse to charge the generic NiMH batteries sold here on Amazon. So finally we come to this fantastic product from Powerextra. These batteries work perfectly. You can plug them into your existing Milwaukee charger, charge them up, and use your tool. If you buy the twin pack version, you can have two batteries for about $9 each. That is a bargain compared with the $30 list price of the OEM Milwaukee batteries. The specs on this battery say they are 2000mAh. That is significantly higher than the Milwaukee OEM rating of 1300mAh. The versions of NiMH batteries I purchased were either 2200mAh or 3000mAh so these 2000mAh NiCd batteries are not that far behind. When plugged into the OEM Milwaukee charger, the work exactly as expected - the LED lights up, it charges for 30-60 minutes and the LED goes out. There is no overheating or melting of the battery cases.I ran some tests. Out of the box the battery will run my Milwaukee screwdriver on high speed with no load for about 30 minutes. The manual for the battery mentions that to get maximum capacity out of the battery, you need to go through several charge/recharge cycles. I can confirm that behavior. For the first three charge cycles I added about 5 more minutes of run time to my no load test. I stopped measuring once I concluded that the batteries were good enough for what I needed.Seriously consider buying these batteries. You will not have the NiMH headache, you can use your existing charger, and they seem to work well.I will update this review if I see any problems with these batteries in the future.

Glad they still make these!
I'm glad these batteries are still available because my Milwalkee screwdriver is still my favorite! I got 4 of these for the price of a cheap handheld screwdriver. This one has been my favorite for 25 years and like the energizer bunny just keeps on going!!!

1 dead after a year, but 1 is great with no issues
I wish both were working fine but one died no idea why. I tried "jumping it" aka charge > pull plug > charge > pull plug in rapid succession but it didn't work.If you're buying, expect 1 to die to test it hard within the return window. RIP.
