Hormone Based
Because it is a hormone based herb it is VERY bitter to the taste. This is normal for all of these types of herbs. If you encapsulate it you won't taste the bitterness. I just use the powder in my smoothie each morning and add sweet tasting herbs to even out the bitter taste.

No more bitter than tumeric. The recommended dosage is only 1/8 of a teaspoon, how does that make a protein shake bitter?
