Blitz beats Flitz.
Great stuff. It does an excellent job cleaning and polishing silver and is said to be non-abrasive. But wait, there's more. It's non-toxic and smells like mouthwash. If you swallow it, they recommend you drink some water. I haven't tested this recommendation but it's nice to see a metal cleaning/polishing product without a directive to call the poison control center. If I had a silver item that was going to be in contact with food, this is the stuff I would use. With its low-abrasion, it can take a bit more elbow grease to do the job, but the payoff is, it's easy to remove any excess without leaving tons of white clay residue, the way other metal polishes do, so you save time on the back end. I haven't tried Silver Care on other metals and it may not be as universal as Simichrome or Maas or Flitz (who names these products?) but the Blitz Company makes polishes for other metals too.

Blitz is the best.
I collect silver. I originally bought this product on the recommendation of another silver collector, because it does not strip the silver molecules On top of the piece. This is a reliable effective product that I always keep on hand. Buy it.

Great product!
I unfortunately found out AFTER the fact that you shouldn't use tarnex on silver. I used it on my charm bracelet that I've had since I was 16 and now at 64, it has my life story, so was upset when the silver came out dull with lack luster charms. I Googled best product to use and this came up over and over again. I used it once with a soft Toothbrush to get into the crevices and it came it so nice and Shiney. I tossed the tarnex.

Fine polish, but it has limits
This is a good polish, but probably best for silver that is lightly tarnished and otherwise kept up decently. I set it to work on a bunch of flatware and serving bowls that probably last saw a good polish 40 years ago. Most of it was completely black. Don't believe any hype that suggest that stuff comes off with a quick wipe on and wipe off operation. I used this polish after the baking soda and aluminum foil soak, sometimes a bit more abrasive polish, and the stuff is finally coming to a shine, but that was after six, eight, 10 sessions apiece of extensive toothbrush scrubbing and washing cycles and then multiple reapplications with cloth and buffing to get it all the way there. This is good stuff, but be aware that if you have silver as far gone as mine was, you've got some real labor ahead of you. Once you get it back to where it should be, a light session with this polish once every year or so should keep it shining beautifully.

Best silver cleaner ever
I wish I had taken before and after pictures. The difference was amazing. My husband inherited an ornate silver fruit bowl that had been given to his grandparents in 1910. I always struggle with tarnish in the carvings. I researched and found Blitz is highly recommended by silversmiths as being non-abrasive, easy to use and leaves a coating to help prevent future tarnishing from returning soon. One silversmith also recommended using a cellulose sponge instead of a soft cloth. In less than 20 minutes, this badly tarnished bowl was returned to a mirrored shine. Yes, some elbow grease was needed but not an abundance. I highly recommend this product.

Works fantastic with no smell
I am so glad I found this product. As a person sensitive to chemicals and strong smells, I did not know how I was going to polish the silver I inherited from my mother. Thought I might be stuck with trying the baking soda/foil method. Came across this product and I am so pleased with how well it works! No smell and listed as being nontoxic. Silver is gleaming. I also bought their polishing cloth.

Not the best creme polish. Others are better.
This creme/gel did an okay job, but not as good as Goddard's. I tested six different polishes on identical and identical pieces of sterling. This just did a so-so job.

Good product!
Reasonably priced, easy to use, and it works fine. No real scent to it, and it doesn't cause headaches. I can use my fingers to rub the polish into detail areas with no skin irritation. For heavy tarnish removal, I recommend the old baking soda and aluminum foil method. It removed 90% of the tarnish on my silverplate flatware, then the Blitz finished the cleaning and brought up the shine. I had one spoon that was more resistant to the baking soda bath and the Blitz, and went to Wright's cream polish, which seemed to work better for that piece.
