My son loved it so much. It still builds really well in this issue.

PG-13 Zombie Apocalypse
The IDW Sonic comics continues with the Virus Saga. Eggman has created a technoplague and is currently dumping across the world from his new flagship. Stakes are high and hope is rapidly fading.I'll go into this saying that Ian Flynn is a writer that doesn't insult his audience's intelligence. Yes, this is primarily a kids comic but aside from the obvious lack of graphic violence, this storyline is played painfully straight. Sonic himself is infected with the same virus that Eggman is using in his plots to take over the world, and this volume is mostly from the points of view of the Restoration members that get caught up in the infected cities while Sonic is busy zipping around trying to help as much as he can.Make no mistake, this storyline can get a little disturbing in places. Again, this is played completely straight, so it may be a little bit scary for younger kids, but its definitely a lot better than some of the more recent games due to the actual stakes that are in play here.I've dropped a star due to the way Shadow acts in the book at one point. While I'm aware that it was written the way it was due to Sega's interference, they want him to be a Vegeta style rival, it is really annoying to me because Shadow isn't that dumb.
