UPDATE: Saved my motorcycle battery where Oxford could not!!!
Bought this to charge a LiFePo battery for field radio ops and it works fine... only reason I bought it.I have two motorcycles permanently wired to Oxford Oximiser battery optimisers which are generally good. I have a third car/motorcycle one I use on the weekend car. However, when I was repairing one of the bikes the battery was off charge for some time and died to 10V. None of my Oximisers (3 of) could bring this battery back to life... it would not accept a charge from any and remained at 10v.This charger has a "repair" function where it pulses the battery - I hooked it up overnight and next morning the battery was at +13V - motorcycle hooked up and started. This thing, for the price, is amazing and saved me buying a new battery - awesome value for money!!Previous review: Nothing to say other than good value, works as it should... shuts itself off when done. It's great.

Brilliant
Car started to play up, over the last few weeks with the sub zero temperatures and the lack of use through lockdown.A few days back, the car gave up starting and I suspected it could be the battery, and didn't already have a charger. So, I ordered this. was delivered the next day (thanks Amazon). At first I was confused, as I know nothing about cars, and I looked at YouTube Vids, the instructions and my car manual, but my car battery seemed to be different from all the others I could see in the documentation (it appeared to have 2 negative poles), so I spent a couple of hours trying to find out where I should be placing the grips. In the end I didn't find a definitive answer, so just gave it a go and you know what? - it started charging straight away without me having to select options or press multiple buttons. It detected we were in winter and started charging.2 hours latest, it showed as charging complete.....and my car started :)Very good product and glad that I've got it for the future.

This is great but “Indoor use only”?
I’m always fascinated by the generally scary advice in the information enclosed with chargers saying “indoor use only”. Like many people these days my garage has everything but a car in it. Also once the car is in the garage according to the instructions the charger has to be well ventilated in case there is an explosion from a spark igniting flammable gases. I have a hybrid car with a 12v battery hidden under the back seat which makes it difficult to access to charge. Cleverly there is a contact under the bonnet which enables charging but this means the charger is protected from the elements only by the partly open bonnet lid.Otherwise the charger is a great piece of kit but I suppose can only be used in good weather. Update: I have completed a charge and on the plus side, this charger is small enough to fit down the side of the engine so that, taking care, the bonnet lid can be lowered and almost, if not entirely, closed. The charge indicator was registering a healthy 14.2 volts at 2 amps and at the end of an hour and three quarters I disconnected the charger from the mains. The battery was showing 12.4 volts.I do a very low mileage so the battery does not get much chance to charge hence the need to give it a regular boost.
